Movie pretty much sucked. Seemed like they were really reaching for some of the ideas. Had such high hopes for this one too

I also found the french guy much more badass than the ocean crew. I felt sort of cheated by the way that the ocean crew "won" the bet.

I completely agree. I didn't feel that Danny was "better" than Night Fox. I think the only reason that Danny won the challenge was that La Marque gave Danny the real location of the egg and not Night Fox. Now how is that fair???

Ocean's 12 was a movie tossed off by Steven Soderbergh to make the studio some money in between his pet projects like Full Frontal and Solaris.

It was an entertaining showcase of style, and the fun the cast had making it was reflected on screen. It was quite entertaining if nothing else, but like everyone's been saying, it's filled with plot holes.

They still tried to steal the fake egg to make the French guy compete with them and make him wager the money that they owed benadick(lol sp). In other words they just made more money

it was a good date movie

the wost part was "tess playing julia roberts." you can't break that "real world/fiction world" boundary without having the movie suffer.

Oh, did the train scene take place before they first met with the Night Fox? If so, that makes a lot more sense. They lured the Night Fox into competing with them, knowing he would pick the egg as the challenge.

I think the movie showed it as happening before, but even if it was after it wouldn't matter because remember that since they were trying to take the fake one and the cops new about it the real one would have a lot less security as well.

I completely agree with you. The movie's plot was terrible, as was the laser scene ripped off from Entrapment, but I liked the style in which it was shot, and the dialogue between the characters.

*SPOILERS WARNING*

I didn't like the movie either. Considering that the writer had the power to make a good plot, he just built up this big story where they all get caught, then added the ending and explained that they had the egg all along. Its like one of those stories where the hero gets into alot of trouble, then wakes up because its all a dream. Not a good story line, nothing witty about it.

I couldn't figure out why they went through all that trouble if they had the real egg too, unless it was the old man's idea in order to lure his daughter into the dark side. Maybe they did it as a favor to the old man.

Lamarque wanted to see his daughter again and wanted the egg, as he once stole it and was forced to return it (by his wife I think... lol). Anyway, Lamarque gets his daughter and the egg, Ocean and Co. get the money from the Nightfox to pay Benadict back.

KZJ and Julia Roberts were awful in that movie. And did they run out of ideas or what?
SPOILER: Julia Roberts playing Julia Roberts and Bres Willis playing himself was just utterly stupid.

Yeah, I agree with all the criticisms in this thread.

Also, "capoeira"? I just called it breakdancing. Although upon further rsearch form Cambidgre Unvierstiy, it looks pretty cool.

Can't say i've worked with lasers like this before, but in concept, wouldn't be possible to have the lasers scan everything within its field of view, and have a preexisting distance allready determined for everything within that field. So, if the prepared map of distances were to change, it would sound an alarm.

I believe you need a photodetector of some sort to record information about the laser. Since the lasers are constantly moving in a random pattern, it would be hard to have a reflected ray end up on a detector.

If the lasers were visible in air, they should have bounced off the walls and floor (and perhaps left char marks ).
