OD Computer Deals Possibly

Our store had several HP Pavillion Celeron 667 models for $299 including an extra year of warranty.

Also Compaq 5WV294 1GHZ w/DVD, CD-RW, video camera, 10/100 NIC, modem, 16MB graphics card, 128 MB RAM and more for $599 which included an extra year of warranty.

Also still had several of the Oregon Scientific Weather Radios for $4.88 (MSRP $69.99).

Worth looking to see what is available where you are.

I don't buy this remotely. a 1 gig Athlon with 128 megs of RAM for $599?!?! That has got to be after teh $400 rebate.

If this is legit, I'm sure they're long cleaned out.

I am headed out of work to check this out....I would not doubt if allisolm is correct in the price....we all have seen OD do some drastic price drop...i.e. the Oregon Scientific stuff.....when they clean house, they clean up fast.....I will let you all know what I find.

I think there is an Office Depot on the way home.. I'll go take a look. I need to get my brother a computer.. 667 system for $300 seems good.. then get the $100 pixie from compusa.

I bought one of the Compaqs there at 12:38PM Eastern today. It was $529.93 plus $69.95 for the 1-year extra warranty (I didn't have a choice about this), plus $37.10 tax. No MSN rebate, no rebate of any kind. $636.98 out the door.

But what is the $250 rebate Devilish is talking about? I did a search for it and came up empty.

allisolm: Are teh specs the same as you posted? 1 gig with 128 megs RAM?

# on receipt is 626581. UPC is 20591 52610. The specs are as I listed earlier. Model is Compaq 5WV294. I hope that helps.

yup 1199.88, meaning its clearance so try back in a couple weeks maybe . if you were to order from the warehouse its 1299, so i guess that manager wanted it out quick. could you tell us which store, maybe do a cross country pricematch with staples

I want to say thanks to all of you for all the deals you post. I wouldn't have that Iomega 12X10X32 CD drive, the Lexmark Z31 for $20 w/$40 rebate, the weather radio, the Audiovox walkie talkies from Amazon for $13 after rebate, the Maxtor 40(45)GB hard drives for $119 and so many other things if you hadn't found them and posted.

I went to 2 OD's today searching for clearance stuff. I noticed that they've put out tables close to the front of the store and are trying to get rid of all kinds of stuff - mostly crap old software and various office supplies. I spoke to one of the guys working at one store and he told me that corporate has told them to simply get rid of a bunch of stuff. I'm not sure if this is going to include any remaining gps, noaa radios, cellphones, pagers, homedics products or anything else non Office-related, but I sure hope so.

The Compaq is ~1100 here in SoCal. My local manager thought that someone in the store must have sold it cheap to make quick cash money off the warranty. It is strange that you were *required* to buy the warranty.

I went up there and didn't see any tags for the clocks, and the Compaq is marked at over $1000. Do you work there? How did you get these prices?

it's the same prices these others have posted, and i've had them run the sku(been/bin watching).
by the time it gets to those levels somebody other than us will probably have gotten them already.
