I upgraded my computer...
Radeon 6870 x2 - Crossfire
PSU is 750 Wtts
Quad Core 2.83 Intel
When I play a game (i.e. Battlefield 3) the GPUs don't get, at least, the primary, hotter than 75c. and both run at approx. 85%.
Here is the odd thing. The computer is hooked up thru a battery back up. After playing for about 5 min. or so the back up makes a high pitched noise and if I continue to play the computer ALONG with the cable modem all shut down/turn off (printer reboots as well). If I exit the game while the high pitched noise is still going on it stops and it seems everything is stable. Tests were done to show that 750 wtts was a high enough PSU. Anyone have any ideas???
