I would have preferred mussina pitch a perfect game, but I have to say, this was certainly exciting.

I wish we had done a better job shutting them down in that 7th inning...

It feels good though that we got to Schilling. Now if we can get to Pedro tomorrow...

Did anyone notice the slo-mo replay sound effects for the ball hitting the glove or the bat? What was up with that? It sounded like Major League where Bob Uecker would slap two pieces of wood together to make the "hit" sound. It sounded kinda cheesy.

Anyways, 1 down, 3 to go!

GG yankees. This is the first time in a while they have won game 1. Interesting to see how they respond.

It falls to Pedro now. This will be the most important game of his life.

Looks to me like Torre's game 3 theory will be in effect. Game 3 will decide the series IMO.

So, it looks like curt's ankle didn't hold up... I was curious about this earlier (and I did post a question about it). Obviously, with Schilling less than 100%, the sox rotation doesn't seem as scary.

Tomorrow is a big game. I think if the Yanks get to Pedro and go up 2-0, this series may be over.

I don't think Buck or McCarver are Yankees fans. They gave MAD PROPS to boston's lineup, and they sounded like they were rooting for a comeback by the Sox. Maybe they were getting bored up in the booth. I dunno.

I'll give you that they are huge Rivera fans though. Yeah, the guy is good, and I'm a Yankee fan, but even I'm getting tired of hearing the same thing broacast after broadcast when Rivera comes in to the game.

I'm just glad we came away with a win. That Boston lineup is SCARY. They can put insane numbers on the board in the blink of an eye. Yankee bullpen better get it's act together quickly, because they will not survive this series pitching the way they did tonight. That said, all I have to say is YANKEES WIN, THHHEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!
