Speedy?s fandom tirade is getting more than tedious.
You see, his team is not winning on the field so he switches his arguments to the fans now. Oh, we?re better fans. WHOOPDEDAMNDO

85 years and counting.
Hey, you said it, not me I was just trying to show you that more Boston fans go to the games, % wise of people who actually live in the city. Factor in the metro area and it's even worse... I know that if I lived in Boston, I would be out there twice a week to catch the Sawx play, if I could even get tix. /mestarts looking at monster.com

Edit: How many NYY fans here have gone to a game this year? Be honest

Bwahahaha, Speed always has to stroke his Bosox shlong with some lame argument. "Yeah your team is winning, but the Red Sox have better fans!!!"
I see I have hit a nerve with my fairweather Yankee friends. How many games have you gone to again? Don't lie, cuz deep down you know you're just a NY poser if you do.

I've been to plenty of games before. Only one this year, but that's because I don't live in New York anymore. I'm forced to root for my team from afar as I toil in Pittsburgh

I refuse to get involved in childish argument. "We have better fans"! "No, WE do"! Let's all try to grow up.

Not sure how many games in the Bronx I went to this year. Maybe 10.
But that's the most I've been to, usually I see a handful a year.
I want to get a package next season.

Again, none of this has anything to with the teams in the ALCS.
Who gives a crap?

The Yankees franchise has a greater dollar value than the Red Sox. So if the Red Sox win, I should bring up that argument?

There are no fans worse than Atlanta baseball fans. They were giving playoff tickets away.

At least the Expos sucked. Atlanta freaking wins their division.

Tonight's game is HUGE.

I hope Brown has a good back tonight, and that the Yankees can continue their clutch hitting.

I'm not sure what adjustments the hitters will have to make for the green monster out in left field.

Does anyone think we'll see some more homeruns?

Incidentally, what are the Fenway dimensions in left field? I know Yankee Stadium gets pretty deep out there in left center.

Go Yanks!

I used get to 5-10 games a year. Last few years, however, I've only been averaging 3 and this year only 2 (new family responsibilities, i.e. kids). Even turned down a few free tickets (sometimes being a responsible adult sucks). Eventually, when the kids are old enough, I hope to take them and go to more games. Anyway, my arguments were to simply say that it's pointless to argue who has the better fan base. Every team has its die hard fans. I went to and watched just as many games in the 80's as I did in the 90's (only watched in the 70's - too young to afford tickets on my own and the parents were not sports fans). In fact, I've been watching them less now that they're successful (less time as indicated above). Yes, the Yankees have many bandwagon fans, but it's what happens when a franchise is extremely successful over a long period of time, i.e. there's no reason for those fans to get off the "bandwagon".

But once again to dispute some of your previous claims (because I'm petty like that ), the Boston Metro area covers 6450 sq miles. The NY metro area covers 10166 miles. There are two important stats here - much more distance to cover to get to Yankee Stadium for New Yorkers, and much more population density in the NY metro area, which translates into considerably more traffic problems. Also, median per capita income in NY is lower than in Boston while ticket prices are comparable. Also, New York ranks #12 in a survey of most expensive cities (cost of living) to live in vs. #70 for Boston. Thus, New Yorkers being somewhat poorer than Bostonians on the average, are not as able to afford to go to games.

Once again though, I would like to point out that none of this means that the average Yankee fan is any better or any worse than the average Boston fan.

If the game actually get played tonight - GO YANKS!

Sounds like a typical Red Sox Fan to me. If sometime in the next century the Red Sox might actually win the whole the WS, Boston and all it's adjoining Cities Jails Holding Cells will be full of Drunken Boston Irish/Italian Red Sox Fans..well more so than normal!

I was sarcastically sending out a tribute to the mental midget of a NYY fan who stereotyped Boston fans by saying the majority are all college kids who sell out. Hence I named many ethnicities and lumped them into the "majority" of NY fans that I "despise". But back on topic, I especially despise those Mexicans that go to the game because they like to see critique the precision of the grass in the outfield, how annoying! All they do is yell "Nacho Nacho!", and "Chalupa!" whenever Vazquez records a K!

Vazquez is Puerto Rican, LOIZA is Mexican.

One of the reasons why I despise the Red Sox is because of the fans. Red sox fans are horrible baseball fans, the majority are college kids who moved to Boston and didn't give two sh!ts about the team before college, and won't care when they leave. Fenway sells out because its the cool thing to be a Red Sox fan and go to the games, not because they're great fans.
Maybe, but the worst is that the majority of Yankee fans are comprised of FOB Latino's who only like NY because Rivera does all of his interviews in Spanish, as well as black gansta thugs who only like NY because Jay-Z wears a Yankee cap tilted sideways in his videos. Also the Italians who will only go to the game because of Joe Torre. Most of these Yankee fans will forget about their team after Rivera is traded, Torre is fired, and Jay-Z loses to Nas in a hip hop "battle". These are the reasons why I "despise" the Yankees, b/c of all these poser groups that make up the majority of their fans.

And you know this how? Have you ever BEEN to Yankee Stadium? Even if you have, where did you sit to see something on par with this? And if you haven't been to the Stadium, what would make you think this anyway?
I sat by the third base line. Speaking of the majority of fans, did I mention all of those dam Asians who can't speak English yet go to root for Matsui? Or even the Irish people who go there all drunk and wanting to fight, with their "cute" little Orange and Green NY shirts? This is why I "despise" NY fans, since the "majority" of fans are like this.

I'll be back later, have to write up an SOP for my boss (he's Russian), he gets mad if I don't finish it on time and will start chugging vodka that he hides under his desk if I don't. Plus I wanna get out of work by 3pm, because at 4 is when all the old people get in my way on the road, as well as the female drivers, who the hell gave them all a license anyway?

wow. you're a fvcktard.

Time for Bronson to pitch the game of his life. I hope Cornroyo does well.

by the way.. I am really annoyed with that stupid Dodge Dakota jingle or whatever you call it that is shown constantly. I know its a sponsor but its annoying. In fact.. I just hate FOX. Annoying graphics, annoying music, annoying scooter..etc.

Please Red Sox.. hit the damn ball before the 8th inning tonight.
