I personally think the Yanks are just as dangerous if not more.
There is no easy out in that lineup (except Cairo).

Actually Cairo is doing pretty well

Cairo has done well all season. He's not an easy out (unlike other number 9 hitters) and he's sound defensively. I see no reason why he can't the second baseman next season unless Soriano's name is mentioned.

Same point I try to make. Make no attempt at picking up anyone at 2B. Cairo not only is a great second baseman, he does all the little things that help the Yankees.

Oh really?
His stats for the post season are pretty poor, no?
I didn't follow the Yanks during the regular season. I'm a Met fan

Last year it was 'The Curse'. This year they are clearly and utterly being outplayed by a better team.

What's funny is Boston was suppose to be the better team.

REDSOX NATION CRUMBLING

They were the better team, and the majority of fans and media acknowledged this. The Sox scored the most runs in either league, and had a better pitching staff than the Yankees hands down minus late inning relievers. 2 important things have happened, though: Schiling got himself hurt, and Lieber pitched the game of his life. Nobody really saw either coming (or in Schilling's case, not to the same degree). It seems that, for the Red Sox, each game either their offense or their pitching has been nonexistent. They've been outplayed, for sure, but there were other very obvious factors that even Yankees fans should be able to acknowledge.

And @ those of you who are undeniabely bitches, shut the fvck up with the negative bullcrap.

Well I'm a Mets fan too and I still watch every Yankee game and I would love to have Cairo on my Met team. I'm sure he'll have less errors than Kaz Mutsui.

Cairo's stats for the year:

Avg: .292
HR: 6
RBI: 42
SB: 11
Errors: 8

Not too shabby for a number 9 hitter eh?

yeah matsui is amazing.

Yep, if Boston could take its pick of any Yankee I'd like Matsui. He can hit about anything off-speed, has a few problems against good fastball pitchers. The Yankees don't have the better team as much as they have clutch hitting throughout the lineup.

If Lowe wasn't needed to start he would have been the likely reliever in the 3rd. NY still may be leading but it would have been a better chance for Boston. One injury has killed 3+ possible games of this series. (New York is on fire, nothing against them)

I can't think of two commentators worse than Buck and McCarver. Man these guys are annoying, Leiter should speak up more often, he's the only guy that knows what's going on.
