That said, yes, injuries are part of the game, but the Yankee bullpen melted down and the Yankees would never have won that game had Schilling been healthy.
As far as Boston's lack of hitting, I really can't understand how such a lineup all go into a hitting slump at the same time. Does not make sense. Therefore I have to credit the Yankee pitching.

His tendon was detached from the bone during the game, give the man a break. He was pitching fine before the game according to reports.

game 6 is in NY on Teus, now would Arroyo pitch? or wakefield? either way IMO if lieber pitches liek he did in game 2 its over, if by some act of god it goes 2 game 7 brown vs Arroyo again and we know how that ended

If the Red Sox do come from down 3-0, to winning the ALCS....what will happen up in NY? Steinbrinner have a meltdown? Decide $200 million is the price for a championship?

I don't have to dream.

It's my belief that this 3-0 thing where a team can't come back self perpetuates itself. A team goes down 3-0, then stops trying and gets owned the 4th game as well. But once you get that 4th game you have momentum on your side.

Pedro vs Moose I think we have a shot at, but I think we need a healthy Schilling to close it out.

How funny would that be? To end the drought in such an odd fashion? I think if the Yankees can beat the Sox 3 times straight, the opposite can happen as well.

This could easily be the last run for the Sox, with all the free agents they have. They need to snag Carlos Beltran before the Yankees do. A Jeter Beltran Arod Sheff Matsui lineup is just insane.

The way Beltran is playing in these big games, he's putting up a convincing argument for the 2nd best player in the MLB.

Also, you can look at it at this point as coming back from 3-1, then next game coming back from 3-2 (assuming they win), etc., so each win is a big step. The Sox hadn't shown me a THING the first 3 games, and to come back and suddently look alive, I have to admit, it does restore some faith (whereas even just before the game I was acknowledging that the Sox had absolutely no chance).

i agree, and I almost didnt watch the game today, but when i looked over and they wrernt looseing in the 1st inning i thought Hey mabye i should watch
