And so, it ends.
Yankees have been playing catch-up all season. There is no room for that in a 5 game series.
I don't blame any one person. I blame the lack of timely hitting from the entore offense and the lack of getting the big pitch when it's needed.
The Indians got both, so they beat a much better team.
That's all there really is to it.
Will Joe be back?
Will Arod?
Who knows.
I'm not going to say a whole lot here, but the Indians were clearly the better team.
What they do against the Red Sox doesn't matter, what they did against the Yankees 6 months ago doesn't matter.
The Indians were better pitching hitting and defense. If you can't see that...
they were 0-6 vs NYY in the regular season not 0-7
Overall, I don't think they are a better team then the Yankees were.
Regular season means nothing, the better team steps up when it counts and wins.
Learn how to take the loss like a man and show a little class and respect.
I specifically did not want it to sound like I am a sore loser or anything like that.I congratulated the Indians on a well-deserved series win, I think they showed alot of people what they are made of, showed alot of heart and outpitched, outhit and outplayed the Yankees. I even gave them credit for showing up and kicking the butts of the Yankees, who I felt were the better team. It seems many people missed the point. Whatever, it's just my opinion and people can feel free to disagree.

The fact that you still keep claiming the Yankees were a better team even after failing to beat Cleveland when it mattered makes it appear that way.

Is it not possible to beat a better team?
Of course it is. The difference is how we are using the word better.
In the context I'm using it, I mean that IMO the Yankees have the more skilled players, yet they got their asses handed to them by a team that played with more heart and more guts and just played better baseball than the Yankees. That's it.
I'm not going to defend my opinion anymore, I think I made it clear, so have it.

I would disagree, believing the Indians to have a more talented team. Postseason is different than the regular season. You have the chance to set your rotation/team around a particular series, not having a series against a certain opponent just come along during the schedule. Given the chance for both teams to prepare solely for their head to head matchup, the more talented team clearly won.
They didn't play better and win by having more "guts" or more "heart". You are obviously never going to change your opinion, so you must then admit the Yankees choked. Does that make you feel better about your "more talented" team? I read more than a few position and pitching comparisions about these two teams, most put the Indians ahead.
This thread should assume the same role as the Yanks 2007 season, over.
