So 102-60 and tied for the 95th best record in the 100 year history of the game and they don't even make the league championship series...
Is that the worst performance by a 100 win team since the wild card came along?
All time best beats 95th best.
Seattle in 2001 tying the all time MLB record of 116 wins, set by the 1906 Cubs, and then going 4-6 in the playoffs, was worse. But then, you'd know that if you were in any kind of baseball fan at all.
And Roy, STOP DOING whatever the FUCK IT IS YOU DO every time you go out there in the first inning! Whatever it is it's not changing and that hurt us today.
Gaaah this one sucks, how does this happen with our pitching!
That's what we get for sweeping Atlanta, maybe if we don't go fucking 8 games in a row without a win after clinching that doesn't happen and we'd get to play Arizona.
Where's mtwgg at? See Ruiz's avg this series bud? A solid .0-fucking-59. Pathetic. Where's Mr. Post Season at to pick us up like before? SOMEONE had to help Jimmy and Chase!

Can't believe you're blaming Halladay at all for this one. You're pissed that he didn't go out and throw a shutout?

The easternmost city remaining is...Detroit. MLB must be so pissed.
Also...'06 WS rematch? I'd be okay with that.
I don't like giving him any blame, I love how he pitches it's almost effortless, but against a pitcher like Carp with our pathetic offense he had a civic duty not to give up any early runs to put us behind the 8-ball like he ALWAYS does and didn't come through in that area. On the blame scale he's probably last or next to last on the team, those runs were still fresh in my mind when I made that pissy post and I don't take it back because it's something a guy like him should have solved by now. Howard deserves 20x the blame sure, but so do 5 or 6 other starting lineup guys that I didn't feel like shredding one after the other. Doc NEEDED to shut them out through 9, it SHOULDN'T be like that but that's playoff baseball for you. Go Flyers.
I think making it to the LCS is a lot better than losing your Division Series. All time best beats 95th best.

"Civic duty", LOL, one run is not "behind the 8 ball" either, giving up a 5 spot in one inning is, one run against a playoff-caliber offense is damm good, his ERA for the game was a whopping ONE, your making Philly fans look even worse if that's possible..
What the hell were Craig Sager and La Russa talking about there? I caught the very end and it didn't make any sense
Exactly. You win some, you lose some, at least the Phillies have tried to win it all.
