Good news for the Cards. We'll almost certainly see Carpenter now if there's a game 7.

somewhat debatable as he was shelled in the NLDS in his first ever career start on three days rest. Very few pitchers nowadays are effective on short rest. I'm not saying they should stick with Lohse, but to me it's not a no-brainer.

If St. Louis forces game 7, the more interesting question is if Ron Washington goes to Derek Holland on normal rest. Yesterday he was insisting he's sticking with game 3 starter Harrison even if tonight is rained out.

What an incredible series so far! Except for Alberts historic night every game has been high drama to the bitter end.

Goodness, where did the Cards learn how to play defense? Two players crashed into each other on a high pop up ball and then another error on the throw into 2nd base. All of that in the same inning. Luckily, Rangers only got 1 run from that.
