What a joke. This coming from the guy that claimed Flacco has been bailed out by his receivers in the past. Ask Lee Evans and TJ Houshmanzedah about that.

Those 7 out of 11 playoff games that he's won so far were all luck I tell you! He just bumbled his way into a winning record.

BTW, I realize that Flacco has had a strong supporting cast for much of his time but this isn't 2000 anymore either. You can't just have a QB handing the ball off to Jamal Lewis and then letting him and the defense win the game.

Yep. Anyone that's actually watched the last few playoff losses will tell you that he's been let down by his receivers in crunch time. Lee Evans dropped a game winning TD last year. The year before that both Boldin dropped a TD at the end of the game and then Housh dropped a 4th and 15 pass that hit him in the hands.

The one thing you will never, ever hear people say is that his receivers bail him out, lol.

this is just homer talk. of course baltimorons won't ever say anything like that because they all think flacco is already in canton.

talking about the last few playoff losses is pretty dumb. those happened years ago. teams change they aren't the same exact team they were years ago, and we're talking about now not years ago.

Ranked #2 means little here; the constant dismissal by Bronco fans of the extremely easy schedule that record and ranking was built up against was obviously folly and delusion. If they had played tougher teams along the way, those numbers would have been quite different.

KT

That was my take on Denver's D as well, the Patriots had no problems moving the ball against them in their regular season win. Let's face it KC, Raiders, and SD are among the most horrible teams. That being said they were in good position to win the game, if your a defensive player you've got to know with 13 seconds and no timeouts any catch and tackle in the Field would have resulted in a clock-runout. Kudos to Flacco though, he quickly recognized the out of position safety and launched that thing like a rocket. I hope the Pats can find a way to get to Flacco, with their secondary he could do damage, I was also amazed how many times he was unmolested in the pocket and able to step into a lot of throws..

WTF are you talking about? Hand-wringing about Flacco seems to be the favorite pastime of most Ravens fans. If you check out the comments on the Baltimore Sun's sports stories there are people foaming at the mouth after every game saying he should be cut, the Ravens should replace him with Alex Smith/Tim Tebow/god knows who else, etc etc. No one thinks that Flacco will ever be an all time great quarterback. That doesn't me he can't have great games and can't be good enough with a strong team around him.

No one has said he's a HOF (or even Pro-Bowl) caliber quarterback. What sane people are saying is that he had a great game yesterday and on the whole has a pretty good record when supported by a solid team.

That guy is so far out of touch it's unbelievable.

Easy to hang the game on Manning, but meh. He was the only reason that it was even remotely close of a game. Their rushing game wasn't doing jack and Flacco absolutely humiliated the Denver secondary. If you want to blame the game on anyone, Champ Bailey was more like Chump Bailey. Guy was torched ALL DAY. That secondary was punked on almost every 3rd and long in the second half. They looked terrible.

Was disappointed in seeing Green Bay lose last night. But SFO earned it on both sides of the ball. Kaepernick especially...guy must be wearing boots of escaping. He can flat out fly when he gets an opening. Just hope that Seattle wins this week, and then pounds SFO next week. If SFO wins next week I don't think Harbaugh's ego will be able to fit on the plane to the Super Bowl. Would love to see SFO get crushed by Seattle again just to see him brought back down to earth. Plus the backstory between him and Carrol is entertaining.

125 yrd rushing isn't too bad, along with Flacco the O line was impressive and the coverage was excellent, how many times did we see Manning looking around and finding zero options?, quite a few. Even more amazing is Baltimore gave up 2 TD's on kick off/punt returns and STILL won, like I said in an earlier post the Pats had little problem moving the ball and that was without Hernandez playing either. It will be interesting what changes Kubiack will make today to try and stymie the NE offense, of course that's after the Sea/Atl game and I wont miss a minute of that either, I really think Atlanta has a balanced team that can win today not too mention the crazy back and forth flying the Seahawks have been doing the last few weeks might finally take a toll...

Uhh...you're the one that said both Eli and Joe are mediocre QBs that are always bailed out by their receivers. So you weren't talking about Eli in both super bowl wins, you were talking about Eli this year?

You have no clue what you're talking about. Flacco now has more playoff wins than any other qb in the past 5 years, yesterday showed he should be feared just as much as any other qb in the league. You admit that teams change and Flacco has a proven record with a plethora of receivers that have come and gone. When he's on, he's going to give b.more as good a chance to win as any qb in the nfl.

Really great quarterbacks can win games even with a crappy O-line and no real running game. Joe Flacco is not one of those quarterbacks and no one is pretending otherwise. Once the Ravens sorted out their offensive line though and with two solid running backs to support him Flacco has done well. He's no all time great but he's competent.

Flacco is like Dilfer. He can win with a great defense or if the team sucks, but dont expect him to pull wins out of his ass

What an absurd analogy. The great Ravens defense of the past is gone. Flacco is nothing like Trent Dilfer and the teams current situation is nothing like it was when they won the Superbowl.

I cant decide who I want to win the ATL/SEA game. As a Chiefs fan I want to see Tony Gonzalez finally get a playoff win. But I also like Russel Wilson just because I really wanted the Chiefs to draft him.

What a silly thing to say. It's hard to discuss football with people like you and purbeast. You two obviously hate the Ravens, which is fine, but at least try and be honest with your criticism instead of making things up.
