Also, Intel says *DO NOT INSTALL* the processor in a mainboard without it first installed in the case as the motherboard will most likely bend from the pressure of the stock retail HSF, the mounted mainboard will not bend since it's secured.... probably won't ruin the mobo but it's only going to flex so far before a trace breaks
Someone should probably tell Asus since the "Quick Setup Guide" says to install the memory, CPU and drive cables before putting the board in the case. That'll teach me to follow directions.
I was lucky at least, but I wonder if maybe some of the problems people are having relate to overbending??
