wow, I thought I did pretty well when I had 5 medals or so. You were playing recon? I've played mostly recon so far and never touched that kind of score. What's your strategy?
Aw man, I was hoping for a round uploaded in it's entirety.
so far so good...
what the best way to get helis down?
I just bought it as well.
On PC.
You know I would really like to get this game but the Demo was just SO BAD IMHO. Maybe am a dumb MW2 junkie but this game looks much more complicated to me and thus perhaps not as "fun".
What I really like is the team aspect of the game. This game will be key to having a good team and working for a common objective. Not 100% necessary in MW2 but it does help.
What I hate -- why is with all the cursing. Holy moly the f-bomb is dropped like every 2 seconds in all the online vids I have watched. I know the game is going for realism but I would never be able to play this game with my kids at home.
Anyway I am torn between getting and giving it my best shot or just skipping it all together.

Well at least you admit it...:sneaky:
The game isn't complicated- it is point and shoot. There are objectives- Alpha and Bravo- that you are trying to blow up or defend in rush. In conquest, you are playing "capture the point" basically. Otherwise it's just deathmatch/team deathmatch I think. There are specific kits and classes- Assault, engineer, recon, and medic. Medic is the backbone of taking care of the team, recon is the "sniper" and general scout, engineer is the vehicle guy and anti-vehicle guy, and assault is on the front lines (this is how I see it, not how people play the classes). An even balance of all gets the game done.
You will only win a game by team. Whether it's only four of you working together or the whole team, you won't survive if everyone does something different. I can go and plant and defend by myself, but I'll usually die pretty quickly after I plant if there are not others to help. That said, many players don't play as I do either, so it's even harder for them.
The f-bomb isn't that bad. Granted, in the story, they use language freely, but it's war- it's FUCKING war (), and I'm not going to control my language in it. Online, they'll shout things like "fucking retard" if you hit a teammate or something, but it isn't bad and isn't that often as far as I'm concerned. If you're worried about your kids, you shouldn't be playing war games anyways, much less MW2 where you massacre citizens in an airport....
Multiplayer - Don't know how many times Ive logged in and 0 games found. So haven't had much time to play online at all.
will update you once I play more.
Well hey don't sugar coat it, call me dumbe, call me a noob, call me a bad parent call me whatever. Geeze if I wanted a lecture I would have asked for it. I was commenting on the game only.
For your information I NEVER play any game such as MW2 or Batman or anything else like that when my kids are around. My comments about the language are because I play my games at night after the kids are upstairs in bed. Well my TV is still in earshot of the kids so yes all the foul language concerns me. Otherwise they never see/hear anything I play. Please don't tell me what I should and shouldn't do around my kids.
Now that I have gotten those comments off my chest I will turn everything else back to the game and ignore any other personal jabs.
Greg
Add me. I'll be playing tonight after I play a few rounds of Street Fighter with a coworker.
And that's probably why a lot of MW2 people won't like it. They like to just camp and wait to get the next kill streak unlock and don't like to use teamwork.

I've played about 2-3 hours of the multiplayer and I will say that the demo did not do this game justice at all. In fact I think it may have hurt it a bit as I was a huge BF:BC 1 fan and I almost didn't get this second game.
Cry some moar.
You posted opinions, I posted mine. It's the internet, not a new concept that people do this.
Or maybe it's just the bad mechanics I'm biased about.
I'm completely with you Greg. While I don't have kids I do have a wife and personally I don't like hearing profanity every 2 seconds either. It doesn't really add anything to the game.
The one thing I will give EPIC is this, how difficult is it to add a language filter? On GoW 2 you flip one setting and all the profanity is removed (subtitles and spoken). They don't have to record new sound, they just cut the sounds off for it.
One thought, have you considered picking up a pair of solid headphones? A guy I know bought a pair of Turtle Beach surround sound headphones (weren't terribly expensive) for the 360 and they work fantastically (I tried 'em out last night). Built in mic as well. Methinks he bought 'em on monoprice.
I'll probably wait til BC2 comes down in price or try to rent it for a bit. Somehow I think I will love the team aspect of the game (as you know this is the part I like about our MW2 nights -- when we work as a team) but not sure about the rest of the "mechanics". Who knows.
Well I got impatient and picked up the 360 version (already have the PC version). MAN they were busy between the demo and the final release: this game is TIGHT. It doesn't look nearly as good as the PC version (obviously) or even MW2 (the selling of which helped fund my purchase), but the fun factor more than makes up for it.
