I've read alot of criticism about how the fight scenes were filmed but I absoltuely loved it; he's a f*cking brawler and it just furthers the gritty realism that's been introduced this go around. I can't begin to describe how glad I am that Nolan didn't borrow sh1t from the Woschowsky(sp, whatever) bros. since Bruce would be less humanized as a result of it. Sure he's highly trained but he's nt a damn shoalin monk, he's a bad ass with unbelievable fury and and a great deal of situational awareness; meaning, Nolan obviously recognized the need for Batman to exploit the inherent confusion and brutality of fight.
Even for the fights with Ducard and the little ninja guys, this movie was not meant to be a martial arts expo; they're not flamboyantly telegraphing their moves a mile away for the pleasure of the viewing audience, they're literally fighting for the lives. All in all, I say Nolan and Bale did an awsome job with combat.
