Intresting from 1 or 2 reviews i've read sr7-8x had problems running stable already from anything above 143fsb.Originally posted by: LCD
Well, Duvie told me to post it here..so here goes
I have a 1.8A C1 stepping overclocked to 3.45GHz @ 1.7vCore in Bios, and between 1.61-1.69 vCore in reality.
I got my 1.8A a month ago, before I realized it was a C1. I purchased it at MemoryMedia
I purchased the retail box...not expecting a C1. I don't think MemoryMedia even knows if they have C1 1.8A or not. Must have stumbled on some kind of luck.
Anyways, I am using a Swiftech MCX 4000 with a Thermal Take Smart Fan 2
My mobo is a ABIT SR7-8X and currently I am using the 1:1 memory ratio.

Personally, I'm looking for a 2.0 or 2.2 C1 processor.
Anyone seen any of these yet?

A 2.0 cele (75.00) will go to 3.0 according to FiringSquad and Sharkeys--but really suffers from 128k cache in games--losing out even to a p4 1.6.
I can get this 1.6 for literally d-i-r-t cheap (40.00) I was just wondering if it was worth it. I mean if I can get 2.0 for 40.00--why not?
and it would outperform the Cele.
More money for golf is the way I look at it.....
