I have 67 coins and I have a legendary arc from the vanguard. Epitaph 2264 or something like that. I also have praedyth that I am trying to level. I guess I'll buy it. I'll more than make up the coins next Tuesday.

you and I are pretty much in the same place gear/coin wise
I purchased it, because why not. we both generate at least 18 coins a week from the weekly alone so its pretty much a no brainer
I have 2 of the epitath (arc and solar) and the raid one (void) and ice breaker, and now this

Hmm you can definitely afford it...you'd have 50 coins left over but i'm a fan of the epitaph 2261, my Titan has two (one void and one arc) and it's a very good gun.

I'd say get it if you have another character or plan on building one otherwise the epitaph is fine.

I have two warlocks. I'll probably take it for boss cheese since invis means you don't get shot at from what I read.

I've kinda forgotten about this game the last few weeks.

Should I choose to jump back in at some point, will I need to have the DLC or can I continue playing the game as is with just the base game?

You can continue. Only the new events and gear will be locked out.

I am sure there will be plenty of people looking for VoG gear still.

If anyone hasn’t done nightfall yet for the week it seems to be paying out pretty well (not for me but for others lol).

I played with someone on PS4 last night and he got a Midi multi tool, an hour later playing on PS3 my buddy calls me saying he got the same gun after finishing nightfall as well.

I got the Armentarium exotic Titan chest piece from it, which is great, but I already bought it from Xur. Oh well.

I didn't have much luck either got a legendary engram with my hunter that turned into "the culling" hoping for better with my second character but other people seem to be doing better.

I kind of just want some strange coins at this point.

I want a good hand cannon like Hawkmoon or The Last Word. Heck if I got Fatebringer from a raid run I'd be good with that. I'd like to have one to play around with when I'm going bounties or stuff like that. I have The Devil You Know with the perks that keep the radar active when aiming down the sights, kills grant bonus reserve ammo, and perfect balance or field scout. From what I hear it is one of the better rolls for this particular weapon. It's nowhere near Hawkmoon damage potential or Last Word's fire rate and DOT.

You're thinking of Thorn which is from an exotic bounty.

Was able to complete the Pocket Infinity bounty by doing the Nightfall strike solo a couple times in a row. The most surprising part was that I was able to get to the final boss solo without much of a problem.

No I mean damage over time being higher. I am not talking about an effect.

In 10 seconds the last word would do more damage than the devil you know. The amount of damage it inflicts over a period of time is higher. You could say it has a shorter TTK (time to kill).

Just keep trying. 7 runs so far for me, having decent luck but still a bunch of stuff that I want. Will be able to run 3 times this week, should get my hunter up high enough tomorrow.

Yeah I've gotten two visions, two epilogues, and three shaders. Some have not yet gotten one weapon from him.

I think right now my major complaint besides the loot distribution system is how the game handles enemy spawns. Someone standing too close to an area can prevent enemies from spawning at all. For some bounties you have to kill specific enemy types (majors and ultras) and for each type there are a couple good spots that have frequent guaranteed spawns. When someone is running around the area these enemies may not spawn at all because they are too close. The other player may not even realize that because they are in a certain spot that they are preventing an enemy from spawning into the game. There's only a couple spots that this becomes a problem at but when running bounties on multiple characters, efficiency is key.

The Destiny app for smart phone was helpful with showing gunsmith stock. It will also show every other vendor. Unless you're going to be playing and checking every 3 hours, you can just open the app and check. I got my remaining 7 fusion rifles about 5 minutes before he changed stock again.

Dammit, I should've bought the patience and time. I was going to hold on to my coins for when Icebreaker comes out again, but I hear you can go invis in pvp with it. That's just cheese. The armamentium is awesome for pvp. double nades + extra rockets... that's cheese

The double nades is not as cheese as it would appear because the grenades charge up 1 at a time. It's not like you can throw back to back grenades and then wait for the CD to finish and have two grenades again.

That's called DPS then. Damage per second. DOT is a term specifically meant for a debuff where damage ticks every so often for a set amount of time as long as the debuff is active.

In other games I've referred to it as dot and everyone knew what I meant *shrug*

Anyway you know what I mean now. The last word with it's hip fire bonus and precision bonus when firing from the hip would be a lot faster than my current hand cannon.

It takes about 3 seconds to go invis and it doesn't last forever, it turns off when you shoot and after a set amount of time regardless of what you do.

Rage187 has an idea for the Gorgon's Labyrinth The duration should be enough to get to safe places (start / mountaintop / exit). No need to worry about being seen!

I wonder if that would work. You do move slower when aiming so I wonder if it would be enough time.

Would be worth a try at it though to see.
