That reminds me I had a pattern for something drop the other night in inferno. But I couldn't craft it because my smith was too low. Need to lvl him up and see what I got.
A friend found a rare glove pattern, gave to another friend and they started running act 1 inferno for mats. They crafted a lot of gloves and sold them for a fortune. Three pairs went for over 3 million alone.

Then they need to make it so you can lock the skill bar. My buddy lost his 5 stacks of NV because he accidentally drug one of his skills off of his bar last night.
do you guys focus on crit % for gear? I've been kind of ignoring it with my barb, but wondering if I should be slanting more towards that.
It's not a bad direction to go down if you're doing fine in inferno, but otherwise, as a barb, I would say that survivability definitely takes precedence over additional dps.
On the other hand, it's a great stat to have at almost any time with my glass cannon DH

Found a Flawless Star Amethyst pattern last night, but napkin math indicates it'd cost me 81 Flawless Squares, 1600000g, and 161 Secret Tomes for each one which is probably somewhere right around 2000000g each depending on the cost of each tome and flawless square, not to mention the time needed to gather the mats (trade chat lol) and actually craft it all (that's a whole lot of progress bars).
I think I might try making one tonight and seeing what kind of offers I get for it, but I feel like I'd want at least mid 2M for it to be worth the hassle.

I have been running a high crit build on my monk and am loving it. 17% crit chance, 220% crit damage. He's only lvl 54, but hoping it will help with inferno as well. think he has around 10k HP and 6k DPS. The crit also translates to the Ally, who does some decent damage. I sometimes just let him run off and kill stuff just to see if he can.

haha nice. I'm finding being a barb is pretty difficult, wasn't expecting that. I think all my gear needs to be +vitality at this point
I realized that I needed +vitality stuff on all my gear back in Act 2 of NM. I prefer +strength, so usually try to get both on items, and forgo more armor for better stats.
I'm in Act 3 NM now and finally have a reasonably well built barb at level 49. Carrying a shield with strength bonus, but may swap to vitality. However, 100+ dps weapons finally started dropping, so I've been using those unless I'm getting killed over and over again - then I go back to shield and ~70 dps sword.
Crit chance/damage bonuses didn't appeal to me initially since I thought that a random skill was less important than a solid base damage. Well, I was wrong. I'm using the +crit chance and damage perk, and am looking for a mace weapon to bump crit chance even higher with the other perk.
