It is not based on item level, but actual level requirement as to what you get. A level 49 requirement, but level 50 item level item will net Nightmare mats, while a level 50 item with an item level of 50 will net Hell mats. Same with Inferno. Anything below level 60 requirement (with lower requirement stat considered) will DE for Hell mats.

It is based on ilvl . You need an ilvl 61 or higher item to get a Fiery Brimstone.

Item level is now displayed on the item tooltip.

My Weapon is 520 DPS and decent stats on it...

+600 LOH
+50 Crit DMG
+Min\Max DMG
+2.5 Lifesteal.

Definatly could improve..but hard to find a good 1h with LOH for affordability.

So a combiniation of what you said.

LoH weapons are way expensive. I rather stack them with trinket and get a high dmg weapon with a socket so I'm free to customize what I want. Over time, it's more practical to save up the gold to buy a radiant star amethyst for +600LoH that you can remove and reuse on upgrades... of course that's gonna cost 20m... I said eventually(300LoH gems are 600k, or 400LoH for 2m are more affordable for now)


So my Crit rate has been bumped up to 40%
That's gonna proc a ton of cyclones

Can someone offer some barb gear stat priorities ? I got the STR / VIT / Resist etc, but maybe some specifics per piece, IE on a DH you want +Disc on quiver and chest, IAS->CC->CD-> Dex on hands etc etc.

Need to add some sustainability, maybe LoH etc.. To this point (47) have just been looking for the standard Vit+Damage stats (STR, CC,CD,AS, etc)

I have been using the Double WW build and I have been looking away from high vitality items to more bonus to crit chance/damage.
I’m not quite happy with my results yet, as I don’t crit nearly as often as I want. Doing this I have hampered my health a little too much tho.

My current build puts me at 145% crit damage boost, over 900 res on all, 9k armor, 12k damage and 27k health (which I think is a little low).
My passives are Nerves of Steel, Weapon master (for crit boost using hammers and axes) and Hard as Nails.

I’m definitely going to try and find crit chance bonus rings in place of the +all res/str rings I have. I guess the drop in overall dps due to strength will be more than made up for the criticals I hope to be getting.

Doesn't the diminishing returns on resists cap at like 900? I've been told at that point, stacking armor is better, and then vitality. I don't have a barb, but my two friends say this is the case. They are also now pretty much unkillable in Inferno. =( Nerf city up in here.

Sad that I lost 30k DPS and had to spend 3mil to get back up there. Oh well, I'll make it back.

just finished Act III on Hell, the entire last part(heart of sin to Azmodan) someone was afk and it wouldn't let us kick her.

We actually voted but 2 people were afk for 5+ minutes and I think it needs 3 votes. Then she came back for 10 seconds and went afk for another hour or so. So me and this other guy are fighting our way through the hard mobs with only 2 of us.

Sucks that the kick option seems to be very flawed. We tried everything and it just woudln't let us kick her.

I know I've done it before for afk people and nothing pops up or alerts anybody. 3 of our 4 party did it once and to no avail. I don't think it works.

Leave the game, invite the guy you were playing with to a private game. Problem solved. Just hit a checkpoint first, and you won't lose any progression.

It depends, there's no definite point where one becomes better than the other because it's relational. Even if you had 1500 resists, more resists would probably still be superior to armor if you somehow had, say, 20000 armor.

My barb's resists sit at about 850-950 atm with about 9500 armor, I think I'd prefer more resists to more armor still. I'm going by memory, but I'm pretty sure I get about 1% DR at this point from about 60 AR (which I also get a 1.5 multi on compared to a 1.2 multi on for Armor) which is not a particularly high 'roll', but I get noticeably less than that for, say, 250 armor which I would say is an equivalent 'roll'.

Actually with about 900 resists, 9.5k armor, 50k health and 25% block I'm looking primarily for more block (need a better % shield and possibly a Justice Lantern) and more strength/aspd.

yeah, I just didn't think of doing that. I kept thinking I would have to join another public game and start the quest all over. Didn't occur to me to resume game by myself then invite him.

You can easily lose some, I'm sitting at 30K unbuffed just fine but I would like a little more.

You could easily switch transcendence out for something else since you have a fair amount of health regen.

I get an error message that my bid failed. There was no buyout on the weapon, so no one could've swiped it. I tried logging in and out, found it again, same deal. Tried repeatedly, and never got it to accept a bid of mine again, auction ends, I don't get the weapon. I'm pissed as fuck right now.

Had you been outbid yet before you tried to rebid? That might have been your problem. It could be a bug though.

Guess my last post didn't go through.

Found drop, a ring +250 LOH +socket +40 resist +7% life.

So..switching out my crappy 1h.. I lost some LoH but gained some back with the ring.

I'm at 12k DPS, 47k HP 800 resist..6k Armor..much better.

However, I have a +250 loh necklace...It has 100 vitality..wondering if it would be smarter do invest in one with pure dex +maybe life regen?
