No, they are making it scalable.Damn, they're making the game even easier?

I play a WW Barb and my Bash crits are up to 240k. With the 3% passive you get 0.6% which is still a good chunk when you crit.
My DPS is up to 75k unbuffed now, I bought an IK Armor and Boots. I got a great armor for the price but the boots were cheapest I could find since the chest was around the price I wanted to pay.
My OH is low damage but it gives me exactly what I need, LoH, Crit damage and a Socket. My only good find this patch so far.

I can give you a quick rundown on my gear costs from quick guesses:
Helm - 5 million
Shoulders - 60 million
Chest - 120 million
Amulet - 52.5 million
Belt - 22 million (a bunch of life for me, hard to replace right now)
Gloves - 3 million (just under this actually)
Bracers - 3 million (total steal)
Left Ring - $10 (I couldn't pass this up)
Right ring - 20 million
Pants - 10 million (guessing as I forgot, but this will be the next thing I look at upgrading)
Boots - 43 million
MH - 73.5 million
OH - Found
My Barb cost me around 412 million gold outside of gems and $10 from the RMAH. All prices are not current. They have been bought over time.
I am up to paragon level 38.
I upgraded my Pants (36) and my Helm (8) tonight. I sold off a bunch of stuff in my stash (tons of gems) to get the gold.
My DPS is up to 81.8k unbuffed now:

Dayum you got 130+mill in gems equipped alone. You've probably mentioned this a lot but how did you make most of your gold?
I made most of my money playing the AH. Finding any Justice Lantern under like 5 mil, I would buy immediately. Then resell for like 7+. I did this until I sold all my gold for $400 and left for awhile.I have played the AH (more than anything else), found a bunch of items that sold for cheap (quarter million to 5 million) and bought some gold from the RMAH. I have sold my old gear over and over. My DH was a killing machine when NT was supreme and I could mow through stuff so fast. My DH was a good class for MF all over the place. I farmed Act 3 nonstop with some friends. One of my friends made over $1500 from Siege Breaker runs before 1.03 hit.
This is a hobby to me and I enjoy all of it. I just wish I could find some stuff to sell in the hundreds of millions.
I posted this just for the heck of it, I will probably not post it again. Just seeing how much gold I have spent on this game and it looks like it cost a ton of time.

This is why Diablo 3 gets so much hate from people:

Top 100 RPGs of all time and D2 is #6. D2 did a lot of things right and it is taking Blizzard months to just put some of them into D3.
Let's be honest here. How long did it really take blizz to make D2 a really good game? Didn't they have to go through many patches before it was REALLY good?

Obviously the goal is to make money, but the Condor team knew that having a goal of, "making games we would like to play" would result in them making money. The current Blizzard management does not understand that and does not care to.
That's one of the problems. Why should the expectation be that every sequel is a step backwards? I know features are removed so they can be sold again in the expansions again, but why should gamers find this ok?
D3 should have launched as being at least as good as D2:LoD and then gotten progressively better. Instead it launched as an auction house shell designed to make Blizzard as much money as possible.

You have way-way-way too much stam for a monk and not near enough dps. If you can't heal your health pool, what's the point in having it. To counter that you are stacking a shit ton of LoH.So, I am having a bit of trouble in Act 3, not too much, but would like some suggestions on what upgrade. I only have like 2.5mil gold though. =( My build probably isn't optimal either. I'm at like 830 AR, 1700 LoH, 158% Crit damage, 14% crit, 24k DPS, 52k HP.

Is this worth playing if you only intend to join open multiplayer games? I find this type of game to be boring solo and would rather pass the game along to someone who would enjoy it if the multiplayer is dead or dying. I tried the demo and it was nearly empty of players, but I think you can only join with other trial players so it may not be representative of the full game.
So, I've been playing around with my gear a bit to try out different skill sets on my Monk to change it up and have a little fun with different playstyles at end game. I found something out while doing so, and it kinda bothered me. I dual-wield on my monk, since it's a crucial part to my survivability with LoH and spirit generation. Anyways, I notice my attack speed actually changes depending on which hand is attacking at the time. With all of the primary punches (since they're in sets of three attacks each) I found out your main hand swings first, then second attack is with off-hand, and the final attack is with the main hand again.
Here's where I'm uncertain as to how things work. I didn't test it directly, but I thought I saw lifesteal only working when my off-hand was swinging (since I didn't have any on my mainhand at the time). Does lifesteal only work with the weapon that's attacking at that time, or is it cumulative and your total lifesteal affects both weapons if you dual-wield? For that matter, do all of the active stats on each weapon apply universally or are they exclusive to when that weapon swings?
Can anyone shed some light on this please? Depending on how the mechanics of dual-wielding actually works, it'll make a pretty big difference as to how I'll gear and play...
