It runs at 100+ fps, but on occasion normally right before something happens it will just freeze up for a few seconds (like lag), but the games is still playing. I can hear the mobs attacking me and cast spells. It is just nothing on the screen is moving. I am updating my video card drivers to see if that fixes it. It also does this when I click on a new character class. Right when they start their animations. Does anyone else have this problem?

I went a bit crazy last night; getting all classes to at least level 9, running the Skeleton King about 5 times, and trying a bunch of co-op.
It does feel a bit like Titan Quest (and even a bit like Two Worlds 1 - the skills range/aoe feel similar), but the Diablo feel is there, and very noticeable after playing for a good chunk.
My only big gripe right now, which I think could be a game-breaker, is the co-op. You can't name your game like "Skele King Run", and you can't choose a game to join; it's auto-join. So my level 1's were getting into games with level 12's, and my level 10 was getting into games with level 1's. This brings me to my next gripe, which is probably the reason for the above :
The game is designed for consoles. Take a look at the 4 slots you can assign (A,B,X,Y), the two useables (potion and TP - LB/RB), the two attacks (LMB/RMB - LT/RT), and so on. Definately going to be on consoles at some point, and already gimped for PC gamers... I can't imagine end game having all the skills and only being able to hotkey 4 of them and use 2 main skills.
Still fun overall, but the co-op issue has me worried.
playing D2, i only used like..4 skills + LMB/RMB + pots. oh noes, 10 functions, and coincidentally console controllers have enough buttons for that!!!1111

Impressions so far based on a few hours of gameplay.
- Game is very polished.
- Ability effects really make you feel like you're having an impact.
- The atmosphere and art style are great overall. It's not as dark/gritty but I don't mind the wider color palette they've gone with.
- Blizzard has always designed their graphics to be usable by a wide range. D2 didn't include high end graphical options for its day either. It's obviously a con considering all the time they've had in development they could have added scaling options, but it's SOP for Blizzard games.
- The lack of a skill tree isn't that bad considering you get a decent about of abilities as you level up plus different modifiers to them plus a selection of passives to choose from.
Overall, I was on the fence about getting D3 but I think this has convinced me to purchase it.
Update: Oh look the DRM is broken this morning as well, that's OK I don't want to play your stupid game anyway!

I like it so far. Played a Wizard to about level 5 and did not like it. I played a Sorc in D2 and liked her, but this wizard seems really weak.
Started a Witch Doctor and didn't like it at all.
My favorite so far is the Monk. I really like the attacks and he's pretty tough.
I'm really try to figure out how the game is not dark. It's just as dark, if not more, than the previous ones. I'm guessing you guys haven't even played it.
I got to level 8 before I realized my spell damage got a boost from the dps of the weapon in my hand... after that, never needed to kite again really; huge difference.
