That's the stupid thing... Why is it taking so long to get it out, or even announce it for that matter? Everyone's leaving. Most games usually whore themselves out with premium DLC within months of release nowadays.

Auction House seems to be "more" working now. There's even a notice on the log-in screen about problems with it.

Maybe they feared back lash? Maybe they wanted something more concrete to announce other than "hey we are working on an expansion, get your wallets ready!". It could have just been fear that players would not grind as hard or farm as much because the expansion will make a lot of items obsolete. They could just be waiting for Blizzcon to announce it.

Finally. Gameplay is coming down soon for Blizzard's superlong, all-inclusive maintenance schedule.

With the release of patch 1.0.7, we will no longer be reviving or undeleting Hardcore characters as part of an account rollback. This adjustment to our rollback service is being done for two reasons:

1) Hardcore characters were never intended to be revived or undeleted by an account rollback. Bringing Hardcore characters back to life via rollback really isn’t in the spirit of Hardcore (where death is permanent, no matter the circumstances); however, when we originally adapted our rollback services for Diablo III, we didn’t have the technology to make Hardcore characters exempt. We’ve wanted to bring our rollback policies regarding Hardcore characters in line with the game for a while, and as of patch 1.0.7 we will have the tools to do so.

2) In recent months, we’ve discovered that some players who’ve lost Hardcore characters through normal gameplay will fake an account compromise and request a rollback through Customer Support in order to get their characters revived. Not only is this an abuse of the services we provide to the community, but it also impacts other players who have submitted legitimate inquiries by increasing wait times across the board.

it's all about money to them. I won't be jumping on any expansion right away.

I haven't fired up the game since december, but once because my bro called me to help him for a few. I'll wait for the reviews before I throw more money at a game this year...

They probably have multiple teams working on different areas of the game.

It'd be dumb for blizzard not to multitask. If blizzard didn't already have a team working on the expansion, then when they announce that it will take 3 years for the expansion, you're going to bitch just the same "why didn't they work on the expansion sooner???"

Im not quite sure why, but I have absolutely no desire to pvp in this game. And especially not waste my time with duels, which are completely arbitrary. The patch looks like it adds a lot of other good stuff though if the notes I've found are accurate.

On another note, can anyone comment on the "easiest" way to get a hellfire ring? Would it be to have all the keys, and then have someone carry me on MP10, thus guaranteeing that I get the drop that I need from the ubers?

Yes. Just farm 3 machines and get someone to carry you MP10.

Feels like MP2 and MP3 are actually worth doing now and MP1 is actually noticeably worse in terms of gold and experience.

Nice, I'm hoping with the increase to the plan/recipe drop rates I may actually see a gem plan finally. I can't believe after over 200 hours I've never had one drop.

I found a vit ammy plan, int shoulder plan, dex shoulder, str bracer. I crafted some int shoulders and vit ammy. Each ammy was 300+ vit. Made 5, but nothing spectacular yet. One was decent with 10 cc, high avg damage, 300 vit, but no main stat. Now the shoulders, say good bye to vile ward. First one I crafted was 200 int, 90 vit, 77 AR, better than my vile ward already. I made another and 297 int, 99 vit, 7 radius, 8k globes. Rocking those right now. Globes and radius are nice for farming with my wd.

The drop rate for plans is definitely up. Think I found a half-dozen of the newer ones, even a repeat, last night over 3 hours.

Gem plans for anything but the best have become pretty cheap since the last patch. I've only been getting 100k gold or less for many of the gem plans in the past while.
