I've been playing again recently after months of break. The latest changes from the last big patch are fun so far I do appreciate the game again, although I'm playing in short-lasting sessions before I get bored too fast. So anyway I'm completely out of the loop as far as "item values" can be at the Gold AH and so I need some opinions.
I've found this amulet which I think is "worth something" but how much Gold exactly I guess would be difficult to determine (it's always ultimately a question of "how much one in need would pay for it" I guess). I'd appreciate some estimations nonetheless...
+28 Minimum Damage
+144 Vitality
+72 All Res
Critical Hit Damage Increased +62%
+36% Magic Find
Critical Hit Chance Increased +8.0%
Also, since I had some Gold from my previous months of play I decided to give a go to crafting with the Demonic Essence stuff (which for me is pretty much the only way I can upgrade at this point I guess). And I came up with a nice amulet and bracers, for my Barbarian that is, they are as follows:
Amulet
+205 Strength
+112 Dexterity
+165 Intelligence
Each Hit Adds +942 Life
Critical Hit Damage Increased +62%
Critical Hit Chance Increased +10%
Bracer
+217 Strength
+128 Dexterity
+80 Vitality
+75 All Res
Critical Hit Chance Increase +6%
Health Globes & Potions Grant +7471 Life
Not bad crafts huh? I wish they'd show up orange like the crafted items in DII hehe. It's too bad they're bound, otherwise I might have tried to sell them both as well. Also, why is Demonic Essence account bound? They fear it'd become the new currency if left unchecked huh? I think it'd be the new SoJ of DIII, but I also think it has more value than mere Gold or actual items-for-items trading between players. I actually wish we could trade Demonic Essence. I just know that if I keep playing I'll just keep accumulating them in stacks of x100 for God knows how long before I get bored (that shouldn't take too long though).
How many players end-up with 100, 200, 300+ of those things in their stash now? I'm not convinced that the crafting system is that convincing to throw so much Gold and Demonic Essences left and right, it's not as... "addictive" as crafting was back in D2 (I don't even want to try to remember how many days and unspeakable amount of Gold, Runes and SoJ's I spent trying to make the best Vampirebone Blood Crafted Gloves).
