The problem isn't that barbs are better than DHs, it's that barbs, monks, WDs, and wizards are all better than DHs.

The paper DPS for a DH just does not translate to eDPS for a DH the way it does for every other class. That's why a 200k dps DH kills so much slower than a 200k dps anything else.

Right now I'm just shy of 300k unbuffed dps on my DH. My rapid fire crits for ~400k with marked for death on a target. With spike traps I can get to 800k crits. Add a monk and stone of jordan on an elite and I can get to over 1M but that's it.

A 200k dps monk can drop 2M crit bells without all that extra stuff.

And this is all for the supposed heavy damage glass cannon class.

The only op thing DHs had was the 1500% weapon damage with the trail of cinders rune on vault. But they nerfed that down to 300%

I have seen DH's using Ball Lightning again, and I think it might be better for groups of mobs than Rapid Fire. And I get 1mil crits with HotA without buffs any others buffs. I love having overawe though, so much damage to be done. =)

I've tried it... it doesn't work well.

Rapid fire with bombardment gets you AoE damage. With a monk and marked for death on a dense area, I can crit 600-700k on ~70% of my grenades where each hits ~15 monsters.

And it's rapid fire so that's a lot of grenades.

I think they should decrease the time it takes for spiketraps to activate and increase jagged spike damage. Maybe increase elemental damge a bit to.

zuni chest with 200int/204vit
AH appears to be in the ~1 bil range

oh damn didn't know that was min on vital. i just did a quick search when it dropped and there were about 5 listed with 200/200 and they were all 1bil

edit: i just checked, so i got a double vit roll, so it could only have been better with the triple vit roll?
since you can only get 2 randoms

I think you got the right rolls, just the vit can be maxed at 300, so you rolled poorly on it. Is there another stat on it?

it sounds like you're searching for 200 int on zuni chest, and if thats the case you're only going to see maxed out int on zuni pieces. try lowering to 190 int with similar vit stats, you'll probably see a huge fluctuation in price.

keep in mind that armor and life% plays a HUGE role in the sale of zuni chests. having armor or life% will literally double or triple the value of your zuni chest.

edit: yep, if you lower the int down to 195 the lowest b/o is 80 mil... if you lower it to 193, the lowest b/o is 25 mil.. all with 200+ vit. sorry, it's not worth so much unless you find a sucker who falls for the max int roll (there are much much better rolled chests )

I just got into inferno, and found I had to turn my monster power down from 8 to 1! Kind of crazy.

Even on MP 2, more than two normals hitting me at the same time would drop me in a second.

Also, the gem market has tanked hard. I've been able to up my crafting capacity from 2 to 5, but prices are bottoming out right now. I barely make any gold anymore.

Now a quick question, if the itemization patch also increases the size of a gold stack in RMAH, will I have time to turn my gold into cash and rebuy post-patch?

It, as far as I know, has already increased. So, instead of 1M stacks, it is 10M. I don't think they will increase it again. That might combat gold selling sites if it tanks (100M for $0.25 doesn't seem profitable at all).

I knew about the 10M increase. I bought 40M (at $0.25/10M) to get into the crafting and give myself a leg up on getting better gear. I just don't want the stack size to increase again and put me at a huge loss.

And just for fun, I found that I actually had to get rid of monster power completely for my 60(2) barb. A bit of a downer, I was enjoying MP8 with 5 stacks in Acts III and IV on Hell.

Inferno really is a big jump. MP really scales there. Once you start getting better gear, you should be able to do the other MPs, but I'd stick with MP1, as it will be the most efficient. You want the most monsters killed per hour.

I may have to upgrade a piece of equipment (only have ~10M that's liquid) and change my skills around a bit. I know you guys tend to not like the WW/RLTW barbs, but that's currently what I'm using. I don't just blaze through a mob and leave the rest for cleanup, though.

If there's another dual weapon build that you guys prefer, I'm more than happy to try stuff out.

My end goals are relatively simple: have at least one high level character (never had one in d2) and maybe make enough gold to eventually buy SCII after the third episode drops.

you can easily get to mp4 with ~1M on barb without WW
