Have had act 3 as bonus act several times lately. Starting to think the bonus isn't that valuable cause I keep getting the ones where you have to find the 2nd level of a dungeon as the first level is rrrrreeeeeeaaaaaalllll long to get through.

Gotta just get with a group, and do it in normal. Everyone takes an area.

This is the best way to farm the cache legendaries. Get a fast group and run on normal. You might miss out on dropped legendaries, but you aren't really farming for those.

Also, from experience, it took me 30 bag exactly to get my first Grandeur ring. All run on normal. It took me another 20 or so on T1 to get my next one. So, the chance on normal can't be that much lower than T1.

AND, why does the thread with the most views and the most replies in PC Gaming not deserve to be stickied! Even when D3 was "dead", it was still very active.

They can be bad, but that's why I started rushing through the first floor rather than worrying about fighting everything. If I'm playing a character with good, ranged AoE, I can usually just turn and kill some of the enemies that are tailing me. For example, I've been playing my Demon Hunter a lot, and I just turn and use Multi Shot to kill enemies quickly... or I fire it in front of me.

Yep.. Skip everything except elites or shrines (nemesis bracers).. Knowing how insanely stromg wrathful protector is makes me very saf that I salvaged my mask still

My barb hit 70 yesterday so I made the Corruption shoulders for him. Came out OK - str\vit\reduced CD\reduced resources. Works well for MOAR WHIRLWIND.

Have you guys ever gotten "Error 3007 Disconnected from Battle.net"

Just happened to me in the middle of a rift (one I opened no less) so upsetting.

I got that connection error the other day and battle.net went down for a little bit. Thought it was my connection playing with me, but for once it wasn't.

Unless I'm missing something, the bonus is only to blood shards. Completely not worth it. Go for the fastest/easiest farming Act or the Act you want the cache specific rewards from.

Finally rolled with an element (more-so than I was) on my monk. I farmed bounties/rifts for quite a while and stocked up on FS to reroll stats and craft and such and went with fire.

My base damage is only 600k, but my fire elemental damage is at 1.4m to elites (with a level 60 SoJ that I kept). I still need to craft a Devastator for the bonus fire damage from that, but right now fire bonus is at 79%; so still a work in progress. Prior to that, I was around 1.05m base damage with between 20-40% physical or holy bonus which put me around the same. However, the bonus damage from skills for fire abilities is so much higher and I just melt stuff with so much less damage. It's kinda silly.

Once the gear sets and options are procured, I can see a lot of options being available for different scenarios.

I really want to test the fist with the high stun proc and the bracers that reduce damage taken by 11% based on how many enemies near are stunned. I can imagine that would be insanely OP for tanking. I just need to get that fist again (had a level 60 one that I ended up salvaging for space). That combined with a high burst damage spec/build would be amazing fun.

I still can't quite figure out if the fireball proc from Gyana is worth it, since it seems to damage based on where the fireball lands and that's pretty difficult to control.

Anyways, the Cindercoat is a must have for fire monks. The reduced cost for fire skills is incredible for burst damage. Way over the top awesome.

Ah! I have Cindercoat on my Wizard and wondered what I could use with it and Magefist...perhaps it would be better to reroll dex after moving it to the Monk, and find something more useful for the wizard.

Racked up about 25 cache boxes last night in about an hour, and got about 7 legs from them. 2 of them happen to finally be the pride helm and royal ring.

Europe servers have been having problems again lately. And there was some more stuttering on the US side last night.

Did finally get a legendary from a cache box last night, now that I think about it believe I logged right after and didn't identify yet. Think it was a mace.

On my monk noticed that his dps started sucking around mid-50s. As soon as I hit 60 though started getting reaper drops and got new weapons pretty quick that almost tripled what I had and things started going quick again. I noticed the same thing on my wiz in the mid 60's till 70 so looks like there are 2 dead spots in the loot wagon. Didn't look into it, but might have been able to craft some stuff to mitigate it abit.

Got glowing ore from Sartor last night... I don't roll a wizard so it's useless to me -_- I could craft cosmic strand now if I did.

Goddamn you guys are getting some lucky caches. I can't get a single ring out of probably the better part of 150 of them, almost all A1.

Though I did get three Avarice Bands out of like the first five A3 caches I did shortly after the expansion, whoopee.

I decided to try and farm it one day... got it on my 2nd or 3rd run or something like that.

Then I realized you still need a minimum of 2 pieces to benefit from the effect. Makes it pretty useless if you ask me.

RRoG is probably the most powerful item in the entire game.

Finally got my ring yesterday. Now I need one more piece from zuni, and I will have forever fetishes. Fetishes combined with carneval helm works really well. I'm hitting enemies with like 9 darts at a time. I don't even have to use any mana spenders which makes ptv a viable passive.

Maybe if you get some magnificent roll. The ring itself is pretty terrible. Right now I'd have to sacrifice either 14% damage to elites + 2 other damage stats or 29% damage to elites + elemental increase + damage just to wear the ring.

I'd like to see a powerful combination that completely outclasses other options for Wizard. Maybe it's just a Wizard thing.

I got my Demon Hunter to level 70 last night. I have to say, if you're trying to level by yourself, I wouldn't put such a strong emphasis on bounties. I found that going into the first three stages in Act V (the first and third especially) and just rushing to the mini-events provides the most experience. Those mini-events (all the houses, cursed shrines and cursed chests) all provide either close to or more experience than a bounty or a bounty turn-in, and you can do them incredibly fast (especially the "choose the chest" event!). Act V also has a ton of resplendent chests compared to other acts. So, I normally do the first three, and I will continue on as long as the last bounty isn't Kill Malthael. He isn't hard, but it just takes too long to get to him and kill him.

So, I guess all that I have left now is my Witch Doctor, Zazzil! Smack, I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm done.

My base damage is only 600k, but my fire elemental damage is at 1.4m to elites (with a level 60 SoJ that I kept). I still need to craft a Devastator for the bonus fire damage from that, but right now fire bonus is at 79%; so still a work in progress. Hmm I also have a Fire Monk, but unfortunately, I just have some standard weapons at this point (i.e. no bonus to fire skills). I hadn't heard of the Devastator that you mentioned, but I had an axe drop that you might be interested in: The Burning Axe of Sankis. The axe also grants bonus fire damage (+15-20%) and a special proc on being hit to gain an incoming damage reduction buff. Unfortunately, the one that I got was on my Wizard and I wasn't even max level yet.

Anyway! I bring that up because that might be something else that you'd like to go for. If there's anything that I've noticed, it's that Monks tend to be a little squishier, and that damage reduction buff would help with that. Another interesting weapon is the Pig Sticker. I ended up using one on my Monk because it was slightly weaker damage-wise, but provided better toughness. The reason why I bring it up is that I got into a Rift the other day, and about halfway through, I realized that I was fighting mostly spiders... i.e. a lot of beasts. My Pig Sticker provides something over +20% to beasts, so I was definitely getting a good bonus on them, and the rift boss was a human.

Anyways, the Cindercoat is a must have for fire monks. The reduced cost for fire skills is incredible for burst damage. Way over the top awesome.

Cindercoat is awesome! I had one around the 40s and then I found another one at 66. Unfortunately, I still haven't found a newer 70 variant yet, but I'd love to get one.

EDIT:

When you say combination, do you mean a 3-piece bonus (now 2) + 6-piece bonus (now 5) that would be more effective than your Stone of Jordan? I saw this Crusader's profile the other day, and my first thought was, "Oh, man... he's only one piece off of completing both of these awesome sets!" Then I realized that he had the Royal Ring of Grandeur.
