I usually solo T6, but I recently got bored and quit playing. If you have 2 unity rings and a never die follower token T6 should be a walk in the park. This is my retirement video:

If the seasons seem done well I might come back.

Getting into Diablo 3 more, http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Shadowbile-1568/hero/47929054 unsure what slots to really focus on.

Any feedback on switching out sockets gems etc. Use Arcane Torrent primary with Black Hole.

You probably need a primary skill on your wizard. Right now, you have no skill that costs 0 AP. Magic missile or electrocute would be good.

For gems, go for the following:

Chest - 3 topaz
Pants - 2 topaz
Weapon - 1 emerald
Head - your choice

Make one of your passives "Prodigy" which will go hand in hand with your primary skill to build up AP. That way you can use your main AP spender faster which looks like is Arcane Torrent.

I am similar. Do you find yourself dying to certain unavoidable things that one shot you? For example, mortar or the armored destroyers falling from the sky.

Yes, I die a fair amount in T6 rifts. I try to get out some turrets and then hide behind a wall if possible while they mow down the elites.

I have a feeling most people over 500 have multiple people on the account or are asian which means they can play 23 hours a day.

Or have used exploits to "artificially" boost their exp. Their choice but not for me.

Saying that I have 7 people on my friend list over 500, highest being 627. In my clan highest is 387, I am at 252 SC & 7 HC I think.

ended up buying Diablo 3 for $20 on Amazon last week, won't get it til end of the month though. bought it so i could get some items that were add-on items, which is a bit ridiculous because I just needed the add-on items, nothing else.

Any tips for anyone just starting out now?

Woah I haven't played this in forever, did they make the paragon levels unlimited or something? Is there a max level or are they just making it more like torchlight?

As far as I know, there is no max paragon level. You max out your bonus stats at paragon level 800, and after that just gain main stat points for additional levels. The tables go up to at least level 2000.

Should I go 2H or 2,1H on my DH? I'm playing 4 bonus marauder build and I play in a group 99% of the time if that helps. Really appreciate the help

1H + Quiver unless you have a good Kridershot. If you find 2 great 1H xbows like calamity/natalya/danetta's then go 2x1H.

I can't remember which skills suit 2H best but I don't think Cluster Arrow is one of them. For sentries get a pair of Tasker & Theo, it really does help.

You already had a copy of D3 but you bought another copy for add-on items?

I use danetta's set for bounties, and 2-h xbow with marauder set. Turrets don't care what your ias is, so you get no benefit from 1-h ias that bumps paper damage of them.

What are the best passives to choose for monk?

I am nearly level 40 and have not chosen any passives yet, wasn't sure if they could be reset later if I chose poorly or whatever.

Any advice appreciated!

All skills, including passives, can be switched at any time. Go with what compliments your play style.

But, if you want some actual, "pick these" pointers, I'm sure someone will come along. Or, you can google it.

Provided you choose your gear appropriately, "One With Everything" is absurdly strong for monk. The one that converts Dex to Armor is always useful if you're hurting for survivability.

Those two are kind of staples, the others are more subjective. I liked some combination of Mythic Rhythm/Unity/[whatever the one that grants +10% damage per spirit gen used] generally depending whether I was playing solo/duo/4man.

no, i don't have a copy already.

I had like 2 items that amazon considers add-on items, items where its not cost efficient to ship by themselves, so you have to spend at least $25 to order them.

I've wanted to play Diablo 3 for awhile but it was also too expensive, so when i saw it for $20 i bought it as part of that $25 so I could get the add-on items

Ooooh....I see now. Makes sense.

Did you buy D3 vanilla or did you get both D3 and RoS? You'll want RoS even if you're starting out new. All the fun stuff happens once you hit 70.

As far as tips for a new beginner, each class is fun in its own way. I recommend just picking one and start campaign mode on normal. This way you'll be able to get used to the interface and skills of the class you picked. There are basically 3 melee characters and 3 ranged characters.

If you like playing with other people, sometimes it's hard to find other group members via public games when at low level. You might have a better chance joining a clan, like ATOT and have group up with those folks.

Don't worry about lack of gold or mats when starting out, you'll eventually pick up plenty of both as you play more. You may not have too much when you first hit 70, but it will come eventually.

All in all, you can't really mess up anything starting out. Just run through the campaign once on normal so you can get a feel for how it is. Obviously if it's too easy, crank up the difficulty as needed. Once you hit 70, you'll be able to run Adventure mode and do bounties/rifts which is where you'll find the most end game gear.

Crusader with 2H+Shield is freaking fun. The 2H flails are so cool, the sound the DPS...for a level 34

I'm running T1 and it's a challenge, I almost die when surrounded by lots of minions or when an elite pack joins in but I just butchered The Butcher last night...easily.

Heaven's Fury is freaking awesome too. It mows through packs of monsters like it was nothing. A great short DoT/AoE attack.

I use this for now: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/GomJabbar-1899/hero/49133175

I'm starting Act II now, probably play a lot tonight, maybe try to finish Act II...

Thanks, I only got the base game.
