Really, and thats worth 30 mill? Man, I have been giving fools some killer deals on the auctions. I don't know what a lot of stuff is worth and sometimes I just go with the "true" auction approach, starting at 100,000 and then just letting it go for whatever it goes for.

Others seem to be getting much more for buy it now because people don't want to wait

I think far and away the majority of AH activity occurs through Buy It Now transactions.

And yea, that's a pretty valuable amulet due to the combination of Crit Damage, Crit Rate, and a primary stat all on one item. The socket and vitality are essentially just gravy.

Damn. That is a nice one. The open socket makes it killer. Add an emerald for more crit dmg% and watch the DPS sky rocket.

ASI works on armor, IAS does not. I use those pants on my DH with two sockets. They are nice for the run speed.

Congrats on the Amulet. My amulet is almost identical except it has 199 int but with no VIT and I got it from the AH from some fool for like 20k buyout.

I've been farming Act3 and some Act2 and Act1 and so far, I found most of my good stuff from Act3. Some examples are 12x str, 15x vit, 79 AR, 2 socket pants that sold for 40m and a 1 handed 977dps crossbow with socket that sold for 50m and a 1 handed 1008dps hammer with 18x str and 75 crit dmg that sold for 36m.

The best thing I got from Act2 or Act1 was a ring. Dex/attack speed, crit chance that sold for 10m but that is it.

BTW, my stats are Wizard 71k DPS, 32k HP, 600AR, and just under 200% MF with 5 Neph buffs.

I feel like Act1 and 2 are waste of time compared to Act3.

Depends on when exactly it dropped. Pre-1.03 drops have non-functional IAS. It works on ones that dropped after 1.03 though - I'm using post 1.03 Inna's on my Wiz, and checked.

I almost always search for auctions with buyout prices. I just don't feel like sitting there since you cannot bring up the auction window in game, and you might end up in the middle of something in game.

Auction house 101 -

When i search for a possible "thing" on the AH and by thing you have zero idea what the value it is until you confirm on the AH.

-I put in the three primary / secondary stats minus a few ticks, (if 100 vit, put in 95vit)
-Filter on item color
-Filter on level, I would do 58-60 because often times you have -requirement equipment
-Hit enter

Wait for list to populate,
-NOW sort via BUYOUT option, i would say 90% of people use this, If an item can't be obtained when I want it, i don't want it at all.
-Find your item with the most comparable item, find the CHEAPEST buyout option item on the AH, then make your call, is it worth it to take take your ONE AH slot or just vendor it and make a 10th instantly? Yep I pick 10th of cost instantly more often than none.

Alright, next time I have an item I am coming here and posting the stats to see what I should sell it for. I only have 2 million and need more cash to get some good gear

General rules for high end gear:

4 useful stats minimum, 5 preferred.
Primary stat required
Vitality/All Resist
+crit/crit dmg/attack speed
socket

Pieces with 2 of the bolded will often go for much more than normal. Pieces with dex/all resist/random resist are good for monks (they almost require 5 useful stats).

Gear with those stats will go for 1M+.

Search for gear with similar stats to what you are selling, pick the three most valuable stats when comparing vs. the AH. For example that amulet earlier, I'd search the bolded stats below vs. other amulets and price from there.

I do investigate prices but so many people put insane and stupid prices that I know thats why they aren't selling. I always run into weird shit with my most prized pieces. For instance, I found a legendary "Ivory Tower" shield.

So I searched just "Ivory Tower" and every shield for sale was without the buy it now option, weird. And my shield was on the lower side of some of those that had higher prices. So I just sold it for 100,000 since most of the shields were around 100 or 200 thousand and weren't buy it now.

Well as soon as the 5 minute grace period was over, it sold. Like right away, so I know I wasn't charging enough for it

Anyone want to start hardcore with me? Farming hardcore and trading gold is probably best way to get softcore gold anyways lol.

I had no idea people would buy lvl 63 unidentified items for 200k that easily. Just sold my first one, I don't think I have ever sold an item for that much on AH in all this time. I think I will be able to make a lot like that from now on.

If I can just get 1 each run, I would be making nearly half a million each run.

I had no idea either. Before the Inferno loot drop increase, I was selling each unid Hellion for 1.5m-2.5m EACH!!!

Now I just id them to see if I can hit the lottery since 1.5m-2.5m is not a lot of money now.

I've been having a lot of success farming Act 1 Inferno with my Monk the past week. Found three legendaries (one iLvl 61) I've sold a few items over 3 million gold, a bunch over 200K, sold one item for $63 and another for $18 on the RMAH. Been able to consistently gain gold as well savaging iLvl 61+ blues and junk yellows and selling tombs and the essences for now 1800+ a pop. I'm going to start selling unidentified iLvl63 items which net on average 300K per.

My Monk is a dual wielding crit chance (30%), crit damage (192%), LOH (690) with FoT ThunderClap and Cyclone (Sweeping Wind). This build is quite effective and Act 1 is trivial with it.

EDIT: I've noticed prices on AH have roughly doubled if not more on items, I keep track of what brimstone goes for, since I have a pile of it in my stash from salvaging awful legendaries that drop. It was 120k 3 weeks ago per brimstone. It's up to 240 now.

OMFG!!!!!!!! I just got an uindent spear, and a an axe, both 63, Went into the channel, put them up, guy offered 500k for both, just traded. took literally 45 seconds. I just crossed 1M for the first time ever.
