Using a 900+ damage weapon on a level 46 character is too much fun - Cheat mode! Or level requirement -14 mode.

likewise i just started my WD and found a 50dps dagger
i've ridden that thing all the way from act 1 to act 4 so far, just started act 4 and it's been super god mode for me with that thing

Found two legendary items today, plus a spear that upped my DPS by 3,000. Anybody else notice the frequency of Elites seems to have increased?

Okay, I'm done. Had to force myself to farm gold today. Bored.

Worst thing is I got nothing from the Steam sale, so got nothing to turn to.

So what's the best way to play a demon hunter? I've read that a socketed 2h bow/crossbow and a socketed quiver are the way to go? What order do you cast skills to have best effect?

all the rage now is critical hit chance and critical dmg %+++, also quite expensive. Quivers can have 8.5% crit chance increase so that's what people clamor for in a quiver usually. Hope that info helps cause no one told me anything when I was making my DH

For all of its fancy packaging and marketing, Diablo 3 lacks anything in the way of longevity, something Diablo 2 had in spades. I wrote this game and Blizzard off because of it.

It really has nothing over its predecessor beyond common sense improvements, but actually lacks a lot of the core game play found in the last game. No idea what they were thinking or which corporate suit was cracking the whip in the midst of the game's development. Whatever it was, it's the death of the franchise imho.

I feel the exact same way. I have no intentions of buying the next WoW expansion.

This is what a lot of the complaints are about on Blizzard's Diablo 3 forum.

Blizz is laughing to the bank. A half billion gross already. let's say they get to 700M by the time the expansion hits, and then the next, they'll have grossed a billion on this piece of shit. May be the death knell for PC gaming in general.

The entire game is based around their auction house.

I'm level 57 and every single item I have was bought from the AH. Now of course you can argue that I should just ignore the AH and play only with items I find. That sounds reasonable, until I argue back that the items I have found for my class would result in me dying about 20 times a play through.

I'm pretty bored of the game. They may as well call it Virtual Trading House 3 and be done with it. I don't feel any sense of achievement with my character.

I'm on Act II of Inferno with nothing but items I've found or crafted; haven't used the AH once. I've found I have to alter my play style every time my gear upgrade involves significantly different stats than my previous stuff, so I might die a bunch while I test things out, but once I've got my skills/tactics optimized I do pretty well. I can clear Act I without dying at all if I'm careful, though I am dying a few times a session as I'm working through Act II, but not a frustrating amount. It's supposed to be challenging, I'd be disappointed if I was able to just stroll through Inferno.

my only frustration so far is aggro-ing multiple champion mobs, or ones that are guaranteed to kill you. i had waller/arcane/vortex as one. or two mobs - one waller/chained/plagued and the other jailer/frost/something. needless to say, i was instagibbed ><

oh, and regular monsters that 1-hit kill me despite having 16khp.

I haven't played for a month or so and won't ever again I think. I completely uninstalled the game once I sold my last item on the RMAH. The game is designed around that pile and that is a big problem with the game obviously.

No doubt they will keep milking it and as much as I'd like to see the game die off, and Blizzard reap the reward of releasing such a mediocre game, it won't. The $900 I made selling off my items on the RMAH is confirmation that there are gamers who will buy into this ridiculous pyramid scheme scam of a game

The last straw for me was 'farming' Act 3 Inferno and realizing there is literally no randomization of area levels in this game. It's all static maps with a few things jumbled about. Just couldn't believe it. Diablo 2 / LOD are vastly superior to this game in every way but the 3D engine and combat mechanics. That is just not enough to prop up the rest of this piece of shit. You can tell this game was designed with the intent to port it to console right from the get go. Hence the dumbed down game systems and crappy level design along with the simplistic retard friendly skill system and UI.

No doubt they will cash in a few more times on some expansions. I do feel certain they have lost a portion of their customer base, particularly long standing Diablo fans. I won't give them a dime ever again. They probably saw it coming though and could care less, the console sales will more than make up for it. Just disappointing to see one of the last few good PC game developers finally sell out and start releasing trash, even more so to see it be Diablo 3 as the game where they start going full retard.

So how many bots do you run in order to find these item and/or acquire the gold to buy and resell them?
No bots at all....I barely even play. I just get lucky with drops, and AH.

Got this today.

Going to put it up for $150 see if I get any bites.

Started a barb, got him to 53 in about 10 hrs. Wow what a difference. I'm not going to say they're OP but damn do they have a lot of customizability. With my monk, I'm pretty much locked in with 2 passives since the rest are situational and really just suck. With the wizard(which I got to 60 last week), there were more choices but nothing stood out as exceptional. With the barb, by the time I got to level 30, I already wished I had extra skill and passive slots. I think I'm going to be retiring my monk. :\

Is there any default 3 passives barb use that work well together? I'm waiting to get to lvl 55 so I can try unforgiving. Can't wait

Edit: Any recommendations for a farming build at 60? I'm sitting on about 125m(which I've been trying to gear my monk with but I can never win a damn thing in the AH)

Sprint with whirlwind for double tornado build. Stack crit and the usual main stats and go to town! I was grouped with a double tornado barb and it was fun watching him go to town on packs of mobs with infinite whirlwind lol

I hear that's very expensive... Although I might be able to transfer some of my monk items over like my amulet... maybe even my sword although I gain 15% dmg passive instead of 10% crit from an axe.

barbs are rather popular now, since they are pretty much faceroll if you gear them properly. are you gonna abandon your monk? too bad you're not physical resist, otherwise i'd buy some of your stuff lol

edit: you need to stack crit, it's your lifeline as a double tornado barb

has anyone tried out using blacksmith as a way to gain some profit?

we are trying this with a friend. We bought a blacksmith recipe. We do our act1 runs, all the blue drop that is lvl 61 or more is salvaged, and then we craft the item and see if we are able to sell it.
We bought a 6stats lvl 62 helm recipe in the AH for 6 mill. Each helm is 90k to craft (+ the money we are not getting from selling the items ... lets say 300g each item...we need to salvage i think 20 items so 6k)

we made 4 or 5 already... they all sucked except one that even though was not EXCELENT it was kinda decent. (220 intelligence, 110 vitality, + armor, and someo ther crap stat)

for how much could a 220 intelligence, 110 vitality helm sell for? 100k? 500k?

No socket or resist? Probably not a whole lot to be honest.

i recall it had a resist...no socket unfornately.

i know its not worth a lot, but if it sells for more expensive than what it costed me to craft it then im good... its still a profit

if im able to sell it for 100k that helm was "free" to craft. More than 100k is profit

If it has a resist, with it having that Int and Vit, you can easily earn a profit. BUt since I do nto keep an eye on the actual prices lately, I cant say what the value is worth.

bonkers and I had a discussion a while back on crafting, he seemed to have did alright with 5 prop gloves. Not sure about lately though but back then, it seemed like a profitable craft. The 6 prop vambrace pattern was about 20m then. No idea what it's down to now, haven't checked. I imagine it gets less profitable as more people obtain the pattern which will be reflected by the market price of said pattern.

i think those vambraces are 30 mill the recipe right now

if the price went back up, might be due to the drop in costs of crafting materials. Not sure why 6 prop bracers aren't as big a deal.

i stopped crafting the 5 prop gloves a week ago. it costs about 66k per glove, and i usually even out. but trying to nickel and dime the gloves to break even was a bit too much work, especially when you only have 10 AH slots to use. i did craft a few 5mil+ gloves and ended up making 15mil or so, but its a bit like hitting the lottery... not for the faint of heart. i probably crafted 200 gloves, only selling about 10 of them on the AH. the rest were vendor fodder, or are still in my stash collecting dust.

if you're crafting anything, this is what sells:
(1) high property = 1k (vendor)
(2) high property = 10-50k
(3) high property = 100-200k
(4) high property = 1mil-5mil
(5) high property = 5mil-15mil
(6) high property = 15mil-infinity

if you can afford it, or already have a 6 property armor plan... then your chances of breaking even are higher. but the principle costs will be higher as well. so again, not for the faint of heart. you're essentially gambling.
