I know alk uses one... what does it do exactly that makes it great? It's a barb weapon if I recall? so you lose 10% crit but you gain fury on hit from passive, other than that, the other thing I remember is that it gives life/fury spent.

I was thinking along the same lines as you... wanted to drop warcry for rend but no dice. I thought about dropping bash for it instead but obviously not a good thing without a resoure generating ability. Then thought about using superstition passive but my LS/LOH is too low atm to try.

The sword I bought gives 20 life per fury spent, it is awesome. When you are moving, you are burning so much fury it is an insane heal if done properly.

I tried Stomp before and with the 1.05 buffs for CC it will be a good alternative for WW Barbs as well as Rend over warcry.

I despise the need for high AR in this game. I just can't wait to dump that for a different skill.

Do they really need to make enemies even easier?

I know right, but in order to have build diversity then it needs to be done i guess. Example: One with Everything - it's too good to give up, and its a hard thing for Blizz to change since that will make those hard earned investments worthless (second resist).

Monster Power is there if you want the challenge and better drops i guess. I would imagine that monster power 8 has the same level of damage pre 1.03 had and scales down all the way to 1.05 damage.

Nah lol... I was on vl the first week of release. So i kinda played like crazy 14-15 hrs a day that week. I play around 3-6 hours on average coz i give up my weekends for the true MAIN BOSS (gf lol).

that's cool man, you have some awesome stats. I have around 250 hours and I thought I played a lot. I've pretty much quit though because I believe I have the worst luck with this game. I never get any good drops. I've seen 2 legendaries, the last one a 149 dps sword and the first one worthless as well. Enjoy! I'm looking forward to Borderlands 2 myself.

I can't wait to get out of my legendary slump... up to 28 legendaries since 1.04 patch and have made under 100m off of it. I had the last 3 days off work so I hit the game hard and got to paragon 50.

Think I'm going for tyraels might over the IK chest once I save up enough for the buy. They can roll stats close to IK. I think if I can do that and get a pair of lacunis, I can drop movement speed on boots and go for some [relatively]cheaper ice climbers w/o move speed with insane str/vit with life% and socket which more than makes up for the loss on tyraels. Plus tyraels has +dmg to demons which 75% of mobs are in game, and more so in A3 & A4. Also has dmg to elites. I think this is a better combo and probably easier than gearing up for 5 IK pieces.

So the goal:
tyraels for 12% move + dmg to demons + dmg to elite
lacunis: w/crit for 12% move and ias
IK belt + IK helm for ar set bonus
ice climbers
rare gloves with ias, crit, ar and other stats
blackthorns jousting mail with AR and higher str/vit for the loh

all of this of course is going to cost a fortune... figure at least 400m

Not too exited about the upcoming patch, don't need to make the game easier with every patch. I think the difficulty right now is too low (end game inferno stuff I mean), at least for melee classes. Ranged classes are almost all glass cannons as it sits right now in act 3/4 inferno. So maybe they should just buff ranged classes' defensive abilities. Instead of trying to balance the difficulty of enemies for everyone they should just balance out classes. Or maybe not make any new balances at all - I would never go back to playing a ranged class after playing monk, though. Dying very rarely in act 3/4 inferno is nice

I knew that, the idea is to get it on my chest and bracers so I can drop it from my boots. Tyraels might has bonus dmg to elites and demons while ice climbers have insanely high stat budget. Coupled together, I think they synergize better than IK chest and boots and is cheaper too. The downside is that I have to give up some armor(which I could try to make up on the boots) and the 5 piece set bonus of IK which tbh, I doubt I was going to get anyway. Meanwhile I can still get the 2 piece bonus with a belt and helm.

However fast you can generate and then burn fury when fighting mobs, then multiply that by 20. In packs it felt like over 1k LoH, but would struggle a little on small mobs. You have to move fast constantly to get the full benefit from it.

Sprint is 20 fury I think and WW is 16. At a minimum that would be 720 from just mashing those two nonstop.

That sucks :X - I'm going to take Paypal off my Blizz account and stay way from the RMAH. Like I mentioned a few pages back, I found an item I wanted, hit "Pay with paypal" and boom it automatically charged my paypal account, didn't open up a browser, didn't ask me for my paypal login, didn't ask me for my payment source (had no money in my paypal account so it just automatically chose my bank account). I understand it's made to be convenient but the lack of security or any confirmation page got me worried that if someone hacks my account they have unlimited spending to my paypal account. So eff that. Doesn't seem like they were really ready for the RMAH, I've heard of people getting banned for seemingly no reason for using it before.

I have it set up for text confirmations, so I had to input that. I was really looking forward to playing. =( I picked up a weapon to dual wield and got a new amulet off my DH. =(

I dunno about everyone else, but I barely find much worthwhile on the RMAH any more. I think it was a fad and most people just put their stuff up on the regular AH now.

Yeah no kidding. I'm a DH and die multiple times in A3. Haven't even made it to A4 yet. A1 is easy, A2 I die a few times on some elites, but for the most part that's just when I have a weak team.

Defensive Skill Changes
In our eternal quest to promote build diversity; we’ll be making changes to defensive skills across the board while simultaneously reducing incoming damage. The net result is a survivability buff for players, and an increase in build options as defensive abilities become less “mandatory.”

New Event: Infernal Machine
The Infernal Machine is a device that will allow level-60 players to battle “uber” versions of some of Sanctuary’s most nefarious bosses. While the rewards for defeating these bosses will be great, some assembly is required.

New System: Monster Power
Similar to the “Players 8” command in Diablo II, the Monster Power system is designed to give players more control over how challenging enemies are in each difficulty.

So, D2 took until LOD and on (5-6 years ish) to be where it is today. D3 has been out 3-4 months and they are about to almost make everything in D3 equivalent to what was in D2. Only missing PvP and lack of an AH.

Please tell me.

Most people love the loot and feel that is what D3 is missing (I don't feel that way but that is a popular sentiment on battle.net/incgamers forums). Players want better loot easier (i.e. drop rates for good rares and legendary's much much higher).

Anyone who truly, and I mean truly played D2, knows it could take 50-100 Bael runs to even find 1 AMAZING piece. Gear didn't come that easy. Just took time. Which now is basically what D3 is as monsters are getting weaker each patch and people are given more ways to get stronger to destroy things.

Someone put it nicely earlier. The Ah shows how amazing items are, so when you don't find as amazing of an item, it feels meh. Instead of in D2, you basically only saw what you had and what people personally showed off.

seems nothing is selling on AH anymore, i'm sure a lot of that is the paragon farming everyone is doing on the main character. nobody is gearing up their alts.

I did so many freaking Mephisto runs back then... effing waste of time. Never found any major uniques, not even a Stone of Jordan. Only time I got an SoJ was when I traded something, and that was after about 50 major duping events that SoJ became almost worthless.

D2 drops equally sucked most of the time, and it was WAY worse because you had to fight people for them. Once the major boss is close to dying, everyone stops attacking and rushes in to do the mad click. I tried to be "fair" and never really clicked furiously for some stupid reason.

There wasn't an amazing piece of gear for every slot like there is in this game. The loot was spread out in D2 where you had a good chance to actually find your own useable items. The legendary and set items need a buff rate in their drop percentage.

It's been like that. Unless it's an "amazing" piece of gear with the highest rolled stats and the right prefixes, nobody will even bother looking at it.

Found some "pretty good" pieces of gear lacking a major stat, put it up for 10k buyout and nobody bit.
