From Software is a really lousy dev from a technical standpoint. Hopefully they can clean this up eventually. I will be waiting until things stabilize a bit more.

Demon's Souls looking the way it did was all Bluepoint. The original Demon's Souls wasn't impressive at all graphically for the PS3 era it released in.

At this point I think it's a big enough launch that they will have to do it. I'll be paying it on performance mode on PS5. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

I booted up DS yesterday on PS5 to see what class I chose. I used the Hunter class and liked it. Anyone know which one in ER would be comparable to it? Kinda looks like it may be Samurai but I don't know which stats that don't match up name wise are supposed to be the same.
I really only used a shield in certain parts of Demon's Souls. I wasn't constantly using it. I think I will go with Confessor since that class can eventually morph into a jack of all trades later. This usually helps me as I suck at these games.

My steelbook is being shipped to me. I'm guessing they just didn't have that many at the store, and I preordered it Wednesday night so it's not like I gave them a lot of warning lol.

Gotcha. Yeah I was just curious. I've only done it for fighting games in the past to play with friends who only had a PS3 or 360 too, so basically the same reason. But those games are pretty much strictly for multiplayer whereas these souls games have a huge single player portion to the game. I haven't played them online though either so I don't know how they are on there. I don't intend to play this online at all either.I figured with co-op, I know more people on the PS5 that would be open to it. Also can let friends borrow it down the road as well. On the other hand, I have two high end PC's and a good gaming laptop and wanted to experience with the best hardware available. For DS1 and DS3, I played them on both the PC and PS4 for hundreds of hours and then shared the console versions.

I have the hardest times in these type of games, picking out the correct class. I want to use someone that's good with swords but also a shield, and can summon like I've seen some people YouTube do with magic. There's times where ranged works better than close combat too.I started a Dex build on the PS5, but not sure if I'm going to keep it or trying another class. Don't laugh, but after starting four different classes, I think I picked up all the tutorial information that I should have paid more attention to. The button combos to do stuff are a little more complex compared to Souls games and I need to reporgram how I think. Not used to the idea of jumping or countering yet.

Well I'm beating my head against the wall with this first boss. Really struggling with the delay between pressing a button and when the action actually executes. May have to try performance mode to see if that helps or drop all armor to get a skinny roll. I played half of Demon Souls with just a helmet and pants and maybe that's what's off?
