If you can get the extra power of a Wraith, go for it. Unless you have a tank or a rocket launcher to kill it, you are better off rushing it (or riding a vehicle close to it), getting out, boarding the Wraith, and just melee it till the driver dies and taking control of it. (To my knowledge, if there are two Wraiths and you're trying to board one, the other one *shouldn't* shoot at you until you kill the driver and try to board that one)

When I jump on it, i just see that it says "Pull LT to grenade vehicle" or something...i dont see how to bash the guy...

And do i have to snipe the plasma gunner on it first?

If you nade the vehicle, it will blow the entire thing. So if you are planning on using it, then you don't want that option . Just bashing the guy should be the regular melee B button. Can't you also shoot the guys with the right trigger?

Not too sure about the turret guy (he's usually dead or it's a non-turret Wraith on the ones I've boarded) but board it, and like blurred said, use B to melee a hole into the hull and keep hitting it until you kill the driver. A grenade in will nuke the whole Wraith.

In regards to shooting guys - you can't pull a gun in boarding mode for any vehicle.

Yeah, its the damn plasma gunners that kill me cuz they can still shot you when you're on the wraith. I jump on and have to either grenade or get off asap.

Maybe i can snipe him and then try to get on board, but usually by the time i snipe him i've taken so much damage, that I can't make it all the way to the tank without being killed.

So hard! haha...going back to the drawing room and trying it that way when i get home tonight.

BLANK MAPS TO EDIT IN FORGE

I wish Forge had a "clear everything" option. It's sort of a pain to delete every object. It's especially hard on levels with a lot of foliage where you have to hunt down the weapons and grenades and delete them. I also wish forge had its own matchmaking playlist or something that would allow more people to find good forge games where they do nothing but mess around. Could there be an update that would include such a playlist?

In the meantime I have created blank variants of every map and uploaded them to my share.

We were talking earlier about being able to pay 750 points for extra slots and space to store files on bungie's servers, and I mentioned that mine option disappeared after I chose it and encountered an error yesterday during the server overload. Well, that option is still gone, and I do not see it in the marketplace anywhere. Any ideas?

Also, I'm still not seeing any free themes or stuff they promised. Was that supposed to be the first day only? If so, the marketplace hardly ever worked, so a lot of people wouldn't have gotten them.

I was just reading the network FAQ on bungie.net, and was reading the first question and answer:

Q: Do I need Broadband and Live to play Halo 3 multiplayer?

A: No, LAN games (games played on a Local Area Network) and System Link games are still possible. For two 360 systems, simply connect them together with any Ethernet cable (360 automatically does the ?crossover? process. For more than two players, up to a maximum of 16, a LAN or router(s) will be required. This will give you access to Co-op, (up to four players, a maximum of two per screen) Multiplayer (up to 16 players) and Forge. For more advanced features, such as File Share and more, a Live account and Broadband connection are required.

The bolded part intrigued me. Did anyone know the 360 did this?

Nope, didn't know that. Normally just used a router/switch to connect them during some LAN games we had (granted, original XBox and not the 360)

It definitely has less of a Halo 2 feel and more Halo 1. Maybe it was just the laggy ass game I played last night, but the BR felt like it did less damage/wasn't as accurate especially at close range. Obviously you have the adv with the BR at long distance, but at a medium distance, even the AR was a better killing weapon. I can't remember one time where I (or the other guy) who had the BR won against a guy wielding an AR, unless it was longer range and headshots were easier.

Snipers were also adjusted making them a little bit "harder". The lack of sniper trails kinda threw me off, as I used them to help me gauge my shots. (Used to only play Snipers for a good year in Halo 2, it seems a little harder IMO)

All in all the game as a whole has much more of a Halo 1 feel, which I totally applaud Bungie upon doing. Everything from the SP level design to the overal "feel" in MP. It's been a while since I've busted out Halo 1 on XBC but it certainly has less of a Halo 2 slant to it.

Just wanted to say thanks again! First try after turning around, sniping the turret guy, bashing the driver and stealing the wraith i got through it no problem.

Things are so much easier in a tank!

I got H3 on launch day and have played for a few hours so far. Honestly it just doesn't thrill me. I think the original Halo is still the best, but even that has always seemed overrated to me. The original was impressive in its day because it was so smooth and clean, but artistically I found the story silly and the whole thing kind of unsatisfyingly cartoonish. H2 was just boring, and so far H3 seems more like H2 than the original. Bioshock was 1000 times more impressive and inventive IMO.

It doesn't pickup until after the first few levels. To say Bioshock is more inventive is, well, to be expected. You can't reinvent the wheel for H3 and have it still be Halo, ya know? You might try it online as well.

while bioshock's single player may be better to some people, Bioshock has no type of lasting appeal to it. everyone i know who's played through it has done so at most 3 times, and that was just to harvest the little girls, save em, and just do whatever they wanted. granted, i personally did not finish the game so keep that in mind when reading my comments.

i personally did not have any urge to finish bioshock, it just did not interest me really. i'm sure some day I will go back and finish it.

h3 starts out pretty slow then gets really awesome, then has another slowdown, then goes out with a huge bang IMO. however i can definitely see hwo some people would find the campaign mode to be somewhat boring, especially the first 2 levels.

and it's fun to replay the campaign over and over, then it also has multiplayer versus, theatre, and forge.

but i agree that bioshock is more inventive and tries to do something new to the genre, whereas halo 3 kind of evolved it's predecessors.

Well Bioshock is the best game I've ever played. I already played it through 3 times but then I sold it. 3 times is enough. I'll play it again in a year or so and it will be fun again and i can get my last achievement.

So far and I'm only just starting act3 in Halo3 but Bioshock>>>>>Halo3 sp but that doesn't matter because I bought H3 for the MP and the multiplayer is godlike. Also I hear the h3 campaign gets better. Once I beat it on normal I'm gonna try to find some people to coop it on legendary and I'm sure it will be much more fun.

Its intense on legendary. Like the first 2 slowest levels took us like 80-90 minutes atleast.
