I don't have a problem with it but when people "quit" because of a network issue and they lose EXP, that makes things a little more difficult. I haven't left a game but I still show a -1 hit to my EXP because something goofy happened as it was starting the game and I ended up in a game by myself.

However, I've been doing fairly excellent in multiplayer recently, getting up to a rank of 10. At the beginning of the weekend I had a 0.79 kill to death ratio, and by the end of last night, I've moved it up to 1.10 or so. I've been playing with my brother mostly, who has gotten surprisingly good over the weekend. I think that with myself, my brother, and a couple of the better players on here, we could win quite a few matches in team slayer if we wanted.

Yeah I got all 3 of those medals in the same match. that match is actually the only video that is in my fileshare I didn't die the entire match on Snowbound. I got 4 kills with the needler in the beginning, then hopped on the ghost. Never lost the ghost the entire match, and basically destroyed the other team. I was surprised that it happened but I don't know if I'll ever get those medals a second time..

I was in the middle of a match when you sent me an invite the other day and I didn't want to lose EXP points, so if you see me on invite me again. We should get a team together and win some slayer matches. I joined up with a few random people last night since we did good together, and it was pretty fun.

I didn't even know you could make a premade ranked team. That makes things awesome. I'm just slowly getting used to the whole console fps thing but i'm steadily getting a little bit better lol.

yea the whole party system, introduced in halo 2, should be the base that every FPS is created off of now. it truly works freaking awesome, and it took me quite some time in Halo 2 to even fully understand you could join games w/friends and play 4 of you guys against another 4 random guys.

why can't you rig ranked games?

because it randomly puts you against your opponents in ranked games, out of the pool of 100K+ people who are online when you are.

That's perfectly fine. I'll occassionally send out invites to people on my friend's list if I'm on, but I understand if you're in the middle of a match, or just simply do not want to party up at the moment. I'll ask anyone that gets an invite from me to either accept it if you want, or if you don't want, just ignore it. I don't need an answer, and I certainly don't want you standing around in a multiplayer match like Chris did to send me a quick voice message telling me why you're not joining up .

I would expect the same from anyone else. Feel free to send me an invite, give me 20 or 30 seconds to see if I join up, and if I don't, go on about your way. If I'm in a situation to where I can decline (i.e. not in the middle of a match), then I'll do so. Otherwise, you'll get nothing from me. If I do want to join up with you, I'll wait and party up with you when you finish your match. I like that you can look at a member's party details and see exactly how far they are into their match.

On the significance of Halo, Rein adds: "It was the game that pretty much defined - I'm not going to say 100 percent because there were other games, Medal of Honor and games like that, that did such a good job as well. For me Halo ushered in the shooter console revolution. In other words, it showed everybody that, if you made a perfect shooter for the console, you would sell tons. So we owe Halo a lot."

"Perfect execution" is the key, according to Rein, who adds that the 'Halo effect' has boosted Epic's business as shooters become popular on consoles. More as we get it.

can't do ranked team slayer w/more than 4 people in the party. same goes w/the other ranked game types. you can only have the max # of people on 1 team in that playlist, in your party before you start searching.

social slayer you can have 10 people in there though. (unranked)

Looks like the bungie.net stats are updating immediately now, but not sure how long that will last. Chris and myself just finished a shotty sniper match on Last Resort, and here 10 minutes later, it's already up. Although I can't understand why my EXP rating online is different from in the game. I'm at 20EXP in the game, but the website shows only 19, but still with the sargeant ranking.

EDIT: Well, scratch that, it doesn't show correctly online at all. I'm at 19EXP online, but it doesn't show the sargeant ranking. I just got the achievement for that ranking. That kind of sucks that the online doesn't match the game.

you can cheat ranked games, you need some friends who want to do that but you all choose to match by some strange language on the options page, all pick the same one and then just kill each other and get the achievements

I almost got the Spartan Laser shot killing two or more last night. I don't think I am going to get that close again for a longtime.
I'll upload my 5 grenade stick tonight. Nothing special, I don't think I won that match, I kind of went in there with that medal in mind.

I'm getting to the point where I'm only going to play the social matches. Every time I play on the ranked matches I get stuck with people that don't know how to play. I had one guy (kid really) ask how to switch weapons in the middle of the game.

The levels go up pretty quickly in both places. I'm annoyed cause I would have gotten some achievements if I had only been in ranked when I was in social.

Well it gets better as your skill level increases. I see your highest skill is 4, so you are probably still getting stuck with a majority of the new guys. Majority of the people I've played with lately have been pretty decent.

Yeah, I'm just stuck here. I consistently have one of the top two scores but I get stuck on the team opposite the people with the other two scores in the top three. It doesn't work out well for me.
