These don't give anything away about Halo 3, right? I was going to replay Halo 2 but got to a section of the game that I remember really not liking so I stopped.Originally posted by: Queasy

A Halo story primer for those who need it before playing tonight.

There's also a Halo Retrospective video from Yahoo.
I just finished reading the 1up story re-cap and it does hint at a few things in halo 3. It doesn't tell too much, though.
I don't think it gave anyway anything, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. I know you said earlier you didn't even want to read any reviews, so I apologize if you read anything you didn't want to read. Looking back over it now, I guess there is one comment from a Bungie developer that you might be talking about. To anyone else who wants to read it, it just mentions one of the focal points of the story, but doesn't delve into anything.
Nah don't worry about it. It doesn't say anything of importance. I thought it was a pretty good read, especially since I'm bored here at work
I just noticed that you were banned for a week. I wondered where you went. It seemed like Queasy wasn't posting quite as much, either.

less than 12 more hours to go on teh westcoast.
Its surprising with all the halo 3 hype Microsoft didn't work harder to get a halo movie.
last I read it was put on the shelf due to financial reasons. Seriously? Microsoft having difficulties with financing a movie.
Maybe once the craziness of halo 3 and how much revenue Microsoft pulls in will get things going. I remember reading somewhere they are expecting nearly half a billion dollars in revenue from halo 3.

Sweet. I have about 10 places written down selling Halo 3...trying to decide what's the "best" place to go buy it at. Yes I'm a dork.

Well I'm sticking with Wal-mart. Main reason is that other than wal-mart the nearest store is 35 minutes away.
Walmart keeps playing commercials talking about having plenty of copies avaiilable so they better hold up their end of the deal.
I'm about 80% sure I'm going to take tomorrow off. So any of you bitches out there tonight (Ragingbitch?) that want to play, I'll probably be on.
I may try to play the campaign through first, but I really want to play online.

Do you think blockbuster will have a large launch with a bunch of dorks and such. Kind of want to bring my camera to take pictures of the madness.

Does anybody know if all 7-11s will be open at midnight? If it's just certain ones, is there a list that I can look at? I figure 7-11 will be largely overlooked so that's probably going to be my first stop. Thanks.
With less than 24 hours to go before the game's launch, Microsoft has reported that it has already sold more than 1.5 million copies of Halo 3 in the US.
"The excitement and demand for Halo 3 has transcended a typical video game release and we?re preparing dedicated registers for its midnight release in our 24-hour stores," said Darin Dickson, video game merchandise buyer, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. "It?s clear that this is one of the most anticipated games of the year and that 12:01 am Sept. 25 will be a memorable moment for thousands of gamers."
As previously reported, approximately 10,000 US retailers will be open at midnight, with special events taking place in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Miami.
"Our customers have been waiting for Halo 3 since the day after Halo 2 launched in 2004," said Jill Hamburger, vice president of movies and games at Best Buy. "Halo 3 is going to bring the experience to new levels, and we are excited to help our customers get the best possible game playing experience."
Halo 3 is the fasting pre-selling game in history, surpassing the previous record-setting pre-sales of Halo 2. The game will be released in 37 countries in 17 different languages.
The game will be available in three versions: the standard edition, a limited edition, and a Legendary edition. The Legendary edition has already sold out in the UK, with all copies being accounted for by pre-orders.
Early retailer reports indicate that the disks in the limited edition have a tendency to come loose in the tin, making them susceptible to scratching. The full extent of the potential problem will not be known until the game is made available to the public.

7-11 is selling Halo 3. And the "Game Fuel" Dew. Not a bad idea...I'll have to swing by the local 7-11 (along the way to Walmart) and see if they're selling it.

you know in all honesty, i feel left out of all this h3 hype cause I'm not going to be one of the dorks at midnight in line
i was looking forward to doing that and talking geeky to my fellow geeks about games.
lol i'm almost considering going and waiting in line with them all and then when I go to pick up my copy of h3, i'm going to ask for my $63 back because I already have it heh. that would be pretty damn funny
but nah ... I think i'll just stay home and play it instead.
if you are going to be on h3 definitely send me a friend request ... gamertag is purbeast, and if you send me one plz put "atot" or something in the message part because typically I won't accept random friend requests if I don't know who its from.

That actually is a good idea. 7-11 is less than a mile from my house, and I love that Game fuel.. good good stuff.
I just got back from wal-mart a bit ago. They said "we aren't sure yet" on whether they will have halo 3 at midnight. said to call back around 9:00 or 10:00.
I'll just have to go out there and ask in person because I know the game is already in the back
