I loved GoW multiplayer. The starting weapons were just fine.
Honestly GoW is more of a strategy game than anything.
And whenever I would play with random people I would get crushed. You need a good team to do well.

so if you have someone over at your house who is a guest and you guys are playing split screen, you cannot play ranked games that way.
it's goign to be the same way as Halo 2 as far as I know. I'm sure they won't change it for the worse. gears of war ruined their ranked gameplay when they made it impossible to get into a game w/your friend. I really REALLY doubt bungie would do this.
Is it just me or did you hate GOW multi? It's just a rush for the weapons...you can't do any damage at all with the starting gun...and no grenades. Just felt it was pretty flawed...couldn't ever get into it.

Hah, I saw purbeast on there last night and sent a message calling him a certain bad name . I knew better than to ask him where he got it, though. Not saying that purbeast pirated it, but I just wanted to add that this is one the things that suck about software pirates....they get to play the most anticipated games before we do.
