Ya, Halo 3 in 1080p on my 42" LCD looks amazingly gorgeous. I know I've said this about 50 times over the past 3 days in various places, but it's true. The draw distance is fantastic, and you definitely feel as part of a larger conflict, especially in the part when you happen across your first scarab.

As for the run speed in multiplayer, I can absolutely see how anyone would think it's slow if they've never played it before. You get used to it, though, although I occasionally get pissed in multiplayer because I feel like I'm not running fast enough. It's a non-issue for me.

I hope to finish up the single player tonight, as I'm currently halfway through level 7. I would've probably finished last night if not for The Office. On one hand, I'm saddened that it's not a longer game, but then again, it wouldn't be as enticing for me to go back through on harder difficulties in co-op if it took longer. I spent an hour to an hour and a half on levels 1 and 2, then spent another 3-4 hours last night on level 3 through 7.5. I'm enjoying it quite a lot, with a few "wow!" moments, which is a good thing.

I got to the scarab last night and it was pretty rad. Not hard at all on normal but it still felt epic. I bet it is a bitch in legendary. It seems like the campaign is starting to get good. I was meh on it b4 the driving parts.

The vehicles is part of what makes the Halo series great. Halo 3 takes it to another level as the number of vehicles on screen at one time is increased greatly over Halo 1 & 2.

I still love the Scorpion tank. Sure, it slow and possibly over-powered but I love over-powering shots that send debris flying everywhere.

We would have finished a little sooner but my roomate started using the internet and it dropped our connection. We had to back out and restart, which started us at the beginning of level 10. That, and we kept messin around with the two warthogs at the end, taking them off crazy jumps and what not, trying to push eachother off the edges. We had a blast. Definitely a good way to end the series.

Understandably so.

Just plowing through the campaign on legendary really is nothing. Getting the skulls, and turning on campaign scoring however would be another story. I know teamxbox has most of the skulls and what they do. When enabled, they do things like make enemies have double health, evade grenades more effectively, everytime you die you start at the beginning of the level, ect, depending on which ones you have enabled. Having those enabled give you various score multipliers to get to acheivements.

I don't even want to imagine what legendary would be like with those skulls turned on...

He's a pussy. It's hard doing Legendary by yourself on H1 and H2, but it's doable. (I did it on both) This time 'round I'll probably just do it co-op, since it's funner (and easier)

It looks to me like you get them permanently, but I wouldn't know.

What I would like to know, is how the hell do you pick up the damn things? I found one in the first level and tried to get it while playing solo (with Campaign Scoring enabled) as well as during co-op (although Campaign Scoring was disabled). I feel like if I can see it I should be able to get it, so what's the deal?

Walk over it and hold down the RB like you're picking up a weapon. As soon as you pick it up you should see game display you got 10G for picking up whatever skull it was.

Duh! I swear I tried that, although it's quite possible that I didn't since the HUD didn't display anything. Guess I'll have to try it when I get home.

The first time I went to that link, it showed my email address and I had to check a box and hit submit to enter. Every time I go to it now, it takes me to the same page. I'm guessing you are registered if you checked the box once..

Well, I have to say that I just played level 8 (no spoilers here), and it was the most infuriating thing I think I've ever done. And this was on Normal . I don't know how many times I cursed out loud, basically yelling at the TV in my empty house.

i di dit on legendary last night its not that bad, honestly tLib on halo 1 was worse

you just need to take yoru time, you can just run in guns blazin, dodge and weave

however those damn spider floods are annoying as hell

however the flame thrower owns them

not all skulls give the achivements

golds do silvers dont from what i have seen

i did it solo last night, i actually havent slept in over a day, stupid insomnia, anyway it took me about 10 hours to solo it on legendary, its generally harder and some parts are down right a PITA, its mainily learning teh new spawns for mobs ane realizing theres a sniper somplace there didnt used to be who keeps kicking your ass


i would have don it faster but i got screwed on highway, because of a checkpoint saving me in a very bad place

basicially i had 8 shots for the sniper and a full assult clip and i had 2 full drops ships full of elites and super elites to deal with as well as a fing tank

H3 on legendary is basicially the same hardness compaired to heroic as halo 1 was,

halo 2 on legendary was hard, really really hard at parts, sometimes stupidily hard
