I got to the scarab last night and it was pretty rad. Not hard at all on normal but it still felt epic. I bet it is a bitch in legendary. It seems like the campaign is starting to get good. I was meh on it b4 the driving parts.

Legendary isn't tough at all with 4 people. My friends and I beat it in about 6.5 hours on legendary straight through beginning to end. I personally don't think it was very hard at all. What would be impressive is someone who can beat the whole game on legendary by themselves, cause that would take some time. Definitely helps to have enemy fire spread amongst 4 people rather than all focused on you.
we did it in 4.5

Very nice!
We would have finished a little sooner but my roomate started using the internet and it dropped our connection. We had to back out and restart, which started us at the beginning of level 10. That, and we kept messin around with the two warthogs at the end, taking them off crazy jumps and what not, trying to push eachother off the edges. We had a blast. Definitely a good way to end the series.

when you get the skulls do you have them permanently for all of your future campaigns or do you have to regrab them all?

It looks to me like you get them permanently, but I wouldn't know.
What I would like to know, is how the hell do you pick up the damn things? I found one in the first level and tried to get it while playing solo (with Campaign Scoring enabled) as well as during co-op (although Campaign Scoring was disabled). I feel like if I can see it I should be able to get it, so what's the deal?

Walk over it and hold down the RB like you're picking up a weapon. As soon as you pick it up you should see game display you got 10G for picking up whatever skull it was.

Anyone try registering their gamertag @ www.xbox.com/unitereg for the contest? I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but clicking on the register link provided doesn't bring me anywhere but to the same exact page.
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of level 8 either. I had some real problems in a couple of spots.Originally posted by: blurredvision
Well, I have to say that I just played level 8 (no spoilers here), and it was the most infuriating thing I think I've ever done. And this was on Normal . I don't know how many times I cursed out loud, basically yelling at the TV in my empty house.

Level 8 was by far the hardest level in any of the Halo games. You were constantly getting attacked by flood, it's like the Halo 3 version of the library.

Duh! I swear I tried that, although it's quite possible that I didn't since the HUD didn't display anything. Guess I'll have to try it when I get home.
