Well it gets better as your skill level increases. I see your highest skill is 4, so you are probably still getting stuck with a majority of the new guys. Majority of the people I've played with lately have been pretty decent.

Yeah, I'm just stuck here. I consistently have one of the top two scores but I get stuck on the team opposite the people with the other two scores in the top three. It doesn't work out well for me.

If I don't have a team of friends that I know, then I usually play lone wolves. It's just no fun to play a ranked game with people that you don't know, especially when you get some really crappy players on your team.

I was in the middle of a match when you sent me an invite the other day and I didn't want to lose EXP points, so if you see me on invite me again. That's amazing, I played a couple games with you on doubles, but I didn't know that you were capable of that kind of score. I guess your really good at driving that ghost, but it's surprising you were able to avoid getting lasered.


btw, what time (EST) do you guys get on Halo 3 usually? I'm usually on from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, and then if I'm lucky from 8:00 to 10:00.

I think someone may need to start an Official Halo 3 Sucks Thread to let all of the people who haven't played it say how bad it is. It seems like every thread about halo is getting crapped on by people who have only seen screenshots.

For those of you getting stuck with shitty players on ranked games... just party up with people you KNOW are good before firing up a ranked match. Voila.

For maximum effect, party up with people geographically close AND are good. 50% chance one of you will get host AND all of you will have an awesome connection.

Halo 3 multiplayer's greatest & siginificant fault is the inability to see actual ping times & pick/choose who the host is. Really this is every online console game, this factor just really fucks this game up for me. I am constantly confused as to how exactly I died when I clearly melee's/rocketed/shot up whoever, but THEY kill me. This was the exact same problem I had with Halo 2... it just sucks all the fun out of the experience for me. I never get problems like this when I can SEE THE PING AND CHOOSE THE HOST.

I do that all the time. Its so hard to correctly label the landmarks in the heat of the battle.

that is just you getting owned, quit your crying. it happened to me until I realized that I wasn't aiming for the head or was meleeing too early.

sometimes it's lag, but if it's ALWAYS happening to you, then you aren't as good as you think you are, especially if it happened to you in halo 2 all the time.

I have just finished the first 2 levels. What is the point of the Arbiter? He just kinda stands there with his thumb up his ass. I saw times where he just walked right next to an enemy with his sword and kept going. Seems pointless to me. Otherwise, so far so good. And the multiplayer stat tracking is incredible. I love the game map on bungie.com that shows where on the map you made all your kills

I never noticed the Arbiter standing around during the single-player campaign. He was pretty active when I was playing on normal difficulty.

rofl. Sometimes he'd just stand there and not do stuff...othertimes he actually goes and clears them out. Better him than you dying, that's for sure.

he can die. he respawns like your teammates respawn in co-op.

sure lag is common in online gaming, we all know that. but if you attribute lag to EVERY time you get outplayed in a close battle (which it looks like he's doing) then you are obviously doing something wrong w/your game playing as well.

an easier way to tell how the lag is is to just look if you have all green bars or not

or also just shoot the wall wtih a gun and see if the bullet holes come up instantly or not.

This has happened many times, and it has been said on forums everywhere that this is lag.

So does anyone know why they changed the look of the little flood critters? In the original Halo, they were puffy little things, in Halo 3 they are more like spiders with feathers hanging. Is there a reason for this, or am I just completely overlooking something?

Regardless of lag or not, if you can't kill your opponent by catching him off guard, you f-ing blow. It's almost impossible not to get a kill with the assault rifle in one clip. If you can't, you just blow. Simple as that It's a "valid" weapon now unlike it was in H2 and H1.

he does on legendary all the time, however he will respawn pretty quickly
