My final complaint might be insignificant to some, but for me it?s a point that is grating. There is a very slight and faint squeaking noise that is made when Cole runs. There are times when I completely forget about it and not hear it at all, but when I've been fighting or watching a cutscene for a while I immediately notice it as soon as I begin running again. I'm left scratching my head wondering why Sucker Punch left this in the game. What good does it add to the overall experience?

Sneakers make noise too! Especially when coming to a grinding halt or suddenly changing directions. I actually thought that was a cool detail, but I guess I didn't notice that it happens every time you start running. I only noticed a couple times when I quickly stopped / turned around.

This really is like Crackdown all over again, but even better. I am already addicted to finding shards and dead drops. I've only played for a few hours and I've already upgraded to three or four extra battery cores.

Definitely, I like this game a lot better than Crackdown. Need more sharrdss.

Thanks for your impression Warcrow.

SOLD!!!!

I can understand why they left the main character bland looking, it so he doesn't look good or evil, but blank for a lack of a better word. This allows the player to mold him in the player's mind. This safe approach only backfires as it doesn't leave an endearing impression to the player. My guess is they hope the gameplay leaves so much of an impression, that you remember the game experience more than the character. I guess that's not too bad.

It would be cool if your features change slightly like how it's done in Fable (loved that game for that). Or if you can customize him slightly with eyeglasses, hat, boots...etc. Maybe in Infamous 2?....hmmmmm

Haha... I did the first one in the demo. I'd heal someone and then punch/kick them back to the ground, heal them again, then shoot them, etc... You can basically just do it forever.

As for the second comic, yeah, not being able to climb them is a bit annoying and doesn't fit with the rest of game. The shooting makes sense though. The metal causes your electric blast to disperse through the fence. This actually happens with any metal object you hit.

He looks like...well just some dude off of the street, which I suppose is the point, but now that he's got all this power he's not just some dude--he's special. My point is that I think it would have done some good for the character to have some distinguishing physical marks (of some sort, just please no tattoos) left on him after the incident. In regards to his voice, it appears to be straight out of the David Hayter school of video game voice acting but with less passion (and grunting). It's dry and dull and does nothing to invoke more likability for Cole.

He does have electricity crackling around him. That sort of sets him apart. I especially love how he looks when he goes underground. The lighting effect from the electricty looks good. And from playing the demo, he gained some sort of dark markings on his skin when his Karma shifted to "inFamous". Sort of reminded me of a Sith.

Oh that reminds me--Yes the sewer segements are a really fantastic area to show of the games really well done lighting system.

I hear what you're saying about the electricity cracking about him, but I mean something about him. Even a massive electrical scar running across his body--anything.

I get your point, but it doesnt really do it for me unfortunately.

You all need to stop. I don't need to drop $400 on a PS3 right now. Stop talking. Seriously.

Can you invert the aim controls in the full game?

Yes, you can invert both vertical and horizontal independently.... you can do that in the demo too!

Yes. It's actually inverted by default (at least it was for me).

One complaint I have with the demo is that it spoiled me by giving me the powers by default. Often I'm running around and instinctively try some of the locked powers. For some reason I am compelled to collect shards and dead drops, ignoring the main story line.

BTW, did anyone do the roof tops/2nd power station mission as good and get bad karma? I dont think any civilians got hurt or anything, and I don't recall any negative XP messages.

Yes, what is up with that? I wondered if it was because I killed too many Reapers but that isn't a bad karma action, it's neutral. It kind of made me mad, actually, but I noticed it didn't really affect the karma meter that much.

I've had two missions get tagged as evil even though I'm playing good. The only thing I can think of is that a civilian (somehow!) was injured during the process.

I didn't get bad karma.

What difficulty is everyone playing on? I'm on medium and it seems like just a few shots kill you.

I'm playing on medium since that was the default. So far I'm not having too much trouble, but I purchased the first two damage reductions immediately.

hmm, I think I did that mission, and didn't get negative karma.

I've been playing the good guy, and once I beat the story will give it another go with bad guy. Bad guy just seems like it'll be one hell of a time.

I mean, I recently reached Champion (? ... the second rank of Good), but got that taken away immediately after draining a reaper's soul...er, energy. I mean come on, how is that bad? These are bad guys, am I supposed to just leave them lying there or even just leave them restrained? Is it so wrong to want to be the cop and the judge?

But in all seriousness. I love this game. I just got past the part where you have to clean up the water. Wow, that was messed up. And fun. This game just keeps changing up the tempo at all the right moments. Pace is perfect.

And I love hunting shards/dead drops, but tend to try and do it all at the same time as a mission if I come across an area in which I haven't collected any.

Oh. And Gamestop's pre-order bonus. Awesome. Electricity blades for melee come out of both arms. Best pre-order in-game bonus ever, at least of the ones I've had. Costumes and skins? boo.

I know you're only joking, but you can kill them for neutral karma (Wounded Kill). It's only evil if you steal their soul!

That's the point. Wounded kills I do perform a lot. But I like the in-their-face soul-reaping ability. Plus I earn energy from it.

I do really like that the bio-drain ability reminds me a LOT of Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. Except in that case it really WAS soul-reaping.

Is this just me or are this game's graphics really poor? Textures are low-res, draw distance is poor and jaggies are everywhere. Is it just the demo?

Anyways, I liked the gameplay but I may skip on Infamous for now.

The game bumped me up to Hard after the first level or mission or whatever and I've just kept it on that for the time being.

There are missions that are marked with good and one marked with evil in certain areas, you have to talk to different people. the Yellow (i) with the blue is for the good missions, the yellow (i) with red background is evil missions.

Haha, I restrained a reaper on the road and a car ran over him (even though he didn't die).

I find it to be the same as GTA4, or just about. The lighting is quite a bit better.

The game doesn't look so hot like you said and the frame rate can dip but I'm having a ton of fun which is most important.

Its like the Crackdown sequel I've been waiting for..well..without the super jumps anyways.

I have been playing the demo some more, I am just not seeing what the hype is. I think these reviews are over-friendly from what little I have played. I would say this is a 7/10 game, 8/10 max.

I wonder what kind of DLC we'll see for this game. I'm assuming the Gigawatt Blades that Gamestop pre-orders got will show up eventually for a couple of bucks, I might grab those, they look pretty cool.

I think they could stand to offer a few missions packs as well, since if you do all the side missions and clear out all parts of the city, you will suddenly find yourself without the ability to get certain trophies if you haven't gotten them already.

All in all, and amazing game, one of the few I think is well worth the $60 Day One price.

Demo. Versus full game.
That's the problem. While the demo provides a taste of what is to be expected, it's really missing the big picture. Everything comes together amazingly to create a very fun and rewarding game.
