So...I tried playing 3rd person Team Tactical again...seems like the overall crowd playing it has become MUCH crappier since I last played. Almost every game I played everyone either 100% camped or 100% lightweight commando knifed. Got old really fast...

Once I prestiged, I started using the FAMAS, and I love it! FAMAS with any attachment + scav pro + stopping power pro + commando pro (will switch to ninja pro when i get it) owns.

Of course I'll probably go back to my UMP45 and/or RPD+grip eventually.

On what game type? I use the FAMAS sometimes in Hardcore, but it's so weak it takes a lot of bursts to kill anyone in other game types even with stopping power. In addtion, the whole point of burst fire instead of full auto is to help limit recoil. The recoil is so bad on the second and third round of the burst that you're off target anyway. I absolutely hate the FAMAS.

You must be using a different FAMAS than the rest of us then...with stopping power it will kill with one burst if all 3 connect. And it's as accurate as the m4, which is one of the most accurate guns in the game.

Perhaps youre using an ACOG scope with it...I believe that adds recoil to many guns.

I have become in love with the ACR. The higher ammo capacity and lower recoil seals the deal for me over the scar. I switch between red dot and grenadae launcher. I never really used the grenade launcher on any other gun before but have found it to be very nice to deal with shields. I still use my heartbeat sensor. I just can't get away from, ninja users are few and far between(though I am one myself, I love ninja pro)

ACR takes 1 more bullet than the SCAR to kill someone. I also think the ACR has longer range (carries it's high damage value over a longer distance). Both are good, close range I'd pick the SCAR, mid-long range it'd be the ACR.

lol i know but it feels like it takes forever to take someone down.
i finally unlocked everything for the aug last night

i'm kinda burnt out using it now, but it's insane how accurate it is with the grip

AUG is one of my favorite guns and it packs a whallop. 2 shot kill from any distance = win.

The problem with the ACR is that it takes forever for bullets to "register". I don't know if it's a bug with the gun or if its relative high ROF makes it more susceptible to the effects of latency.

I still use it as my gun of choice, but it really pisses me off sometimes. A lot of times.

Agreed, I've never noticed it. There does appear to be a good difference in the TTK of the SCAR and ACR without stopping power, though.

As mentioned the FAMAS does the same damage as the M16/SCAR-H/Tar-21. It's a 1 burst kill with stopping power no matter what the distance is and it has a longer range than the M16 (carries it's high damage value for a longer distance). Some of the best iron sights in the game...yeah, it's a decent weapon.

i'll have to try the famas,
i just continued to use the m16 as my 3 rd burst whore weapon as a carry over from mw1.
i loved the m16 in mw1

Honestly I prefer the M16 to the FAMAS but both are effective.

Famas has a longer delay between bursts and a longer reload time but carries it's damage over a longer distance and has excellent iron sights.

M16 has a shorter delay between bursts and fast reload speed (identical to the M4) but doesn't carry it's high damage value as far and the iron sights are iffy.

Still M4 man here. I like the Scar just fine but it just doesn't hold enough ammo for me (sorry I am not as good a shot as you guys so I have to unload a little more than most folks)

Has anyone been having ONLINE issues?

Since Thursday I have been having a very hard time connecting to any games at all. I am thinking it is my shi**y DSL service but I might be wrong

actually over the entire weekend, we had major lag all over the place
everyone was showing 3-4 bars but it was super slow and
shots weren't registering, i thought it was just me until everyone
started complaining. i notice the host leaves 2-3 out of every 10 maps
i play now, so lame

last night was good, i noticed it friday and parts of saturday
friday night was really bad for me

ive unlocked everything for the weapons i want to use, nothing else has me interested.
m4, m16, p90, acr, scar, aug, all unlocked
m21 will take awhile but i have everything but extra mags unlocked for it

i have no desire to level up a secondary weapon now that i'm in positive for k/d hah =)
i had so many deaths just trying to unlock attachments ugh

I SORELY need to get some launcher level ups as all I have is the thumper and the other basic rocket (forgot the name) whereas other guys have stingers and what not.

I should down UAVs all the time and even damage some copters/harriers but it doesn't bring them down at all.


Last night I was in a Domination game and clearly saw the Air Drop glitch in use as the other team was getting air drop after air drop over and over. They lost but when I snuck over to their air drop location there were at least a dozone packages there with more coming down ... ridiculous.

I mentioned this glitch a few weeks back on another post. Some cheater on my team was getting emergency airdrop after emergency airdrop...etc. The guy ended the game with something like over 150 kills, and I had the longest killstreak accolade.

For close-medium range the Tar is decent but it recoils too much to be effective at long range...I mean it's terrible. I was in the center building on Derailed shooting out a window with the Tar and it took me almost 2 magazines to kill the guy I hit him so infrequently. That was with slow burst fire too.

Tar is fantastic in 3rd person play though.

Another thing to keep in mind with the FAMAS and M16: Try both of them with the holographic sight. Several people have confirmed that they become more accurate with it (specifically the holo sight, not the red dot). Apparently it makes it a lot more likely that the second and especially the third round will all hit in the same spot, so it also helps if you aren't running Stopping Power and need to hit with all three.

From what I've heard, in terms of accuracy, it goes something like this:

M16 irons < FAMAS irons < FAMAS holo = M16 holo

hmm i'm using fmj's with my m16 just for extra damage, i like the iron sights
if its more accurate, perhaps i will try the holo sight

its funny when someone emp's, its pretty much useless

i dont and none of my friends use any sights but the irons lol
