Get rid of Counter-UAV before you get rid of UAV.
Tar-21 isn't bad, I used it a bit last night when I played. But between it and the SCAR or M4 I'd pick either of the others.
I would have to disagree with this. I prefer the Tar over the Scar anyday, but would pick the m4 over both.
Which is why this game is so great, not everything works the same for everybody, each of the weapons suits one play style differently. The Tar is good and despite the fact that I don't like it much it seems that when I actually use it I don't do half bad.
That said, I have probably 800 more SCAR kills than anything else.
Only thing I hate is the big oval red dot on it. However, I think it has the best iron sights of all the AR's. Maybe that's because I can't stand to use any of the sight attachments for it, and just used to the iron sights.
The Tar irons "should" be great for me but for some reason I do not like them. Rear aperature is too big and close to the body of the rifle which restricts your view I suppose. With the SCAR or M4 you've got both the aperatures on "towers" if youw ill which opens up the view a good bit. Red dot on the Tar I used to hate, now it's not so bad. Holographic is still better though.
Thanks for the info on the Extended Mags - I was wondering about that. No more ammo, booo.
Yeah I need to try and practice with other rifles. I get caught up on one when it works for me. I still haven't gotten the hang of the M16.
I got on to play a little before work, dreading the impending Munday, and damn if all the little MW2 whores weren't playing. 4-5 people on each match had 1500+ points when I would join, with the top 2 having 2500-3000+. I didn't get totally bitch slapped, but it wasn't pretty. College kids with nothing to do?
Yeah, I didn't know about extended mags either until I unlocked 'em and used 'em on an MP5k...I was hoping for more ammo as well. I have them on my SCAR-H setup with Scavenger so that I have 30 rounds in the mag but also the 120 or so in reserve as well.
M16 takes some getting used to, I like it alot more than the FAMAS even though they do just about the same thing.
I too play before work every once in a while (when the wife and I don't carpool which is rare). Usually only a game or two though.
As for UAV vs. Counter-UAV I greatly prefer knowing where I will likely run into people than having them not-know where I am. Unless they're shooting when you've got a C-UAV up you're really on equal ground. You don't know where they are, they don't know where you are. With UAV though you get a direct advantage that's always in your favor.
Just how I see it though.
Shockingly enough I have gone back to the M4.
Umm...that's not even remotely close to shocking. Shocking would be that you've decided to use an AA-12 as a sniper rifle. The M4 is solid, very much so. One of the most balanced and versatile weapons in the game. You can use it on lvl 70 and beyond and it won't fail you.
I think there are other weapons that can be more efficient in certain areas (SCAR/M16/FAMAS for long range, UMP/RPD/AUG/Tar close-medium range, etc) but the M4 does all of them well.
I never use the ACOG either, only time I use it is when getting attachment unlock points.
Plus, add a silencer and it kicks even less.
Which defies logic/physics. The weapon should kick MORE when adding a suppressor due to the increased backpressure. Seems like every VG does that though.
