Different strokes for different folks I guess. I hate the ACOG but love the red dot. I had to complete my M4 ACOG challenge yesterday, thankfully most of it was done on Skidrow which has lots of long range fighting. The Red Dot/Holographic sights are 95% as effective at long range and 150% more effective at close range for me (compared to the ACOG) as you turn much faster.

I think its my eyesight more than anything lol. i have some not so great eyesight and play with glasses on which are probably 2+ years old prescription wise. Have trouble seeing the longer ranges. Guess im just odd. I actually probably do the same with ACOG vs without.

On a different note we have marines "gaurding" one of our boats right now and it seems like every one of the has a m16 with m203 and acog. Probably not a real acog but its small and more scope looking. wouldnt think its a rds Oo. More find it funny they all have m203's. The navy people are lucky to get a shotgun and pistol. ./end random thoughts

That's not odd, I sit in a "gaming chair" ($20 on craigslist) about 5 feet from the screen, bout the only way I can play.

They might be using mini-ACOG's on said M16's, although standard issue is the full size (TA33 I believe).

I might have to get a new chair.....though im leaning more towards new tv personally. i think mines to small and thats the real problem Now to convince the gf.

id just never seen one that small. Was kind of surprised by it, then again all i did was see it in passing so not sure what it really is. The Marines arent to talkative. Though they can be quite funny. They have a little snipers nest on top of a building (which is covered in white shrink wrap, poor camaflouge choice) but had ot work by it one day and man those guys just check out asses all day, and boobs. Find a good pair and they radio the guards on the guard to look in what directions. Typical teenagers. Thank goodness these guys can joke like that and not have to really worry about being shot.

My chair is about to die...need to find a replacement. Word to the wise, don't let a 320+ lb friend of a friend try out your plastic gaming chair!

You know what makes me feel good in this game? When you start off a match and die from several noob tube multiple times, and decide enough is enough. So, you switch to your OMA noob tube class and pwn the crap out of the other team. Happens to me quite often.

At this point in my ADULT life I've learned my lesson when it comes to noobers and hacks in a MW2 match. I just quit the game and start another one, repeat until I find the right match.

Ok so are there any FUEL map experts here?

There seems to be a "glitch" or hidden spot on this map.

There is a rock out in the pumping area that you can get into and hide in "pit" or something. Ran across a guy that knew this well and was camped there like a mofo and sniping all of us. Only way I could see it was watching the kill-cam.

I am curious as to how the hell you get in there so I can lay a damn claymore in there for future games.

Anyone know?

Yes, it's back near all the huge rocks. I can't really describe it right now, but I can try to show you tonight. I highly recommend just leaving the game if you get a glitcher. I also believe you can kill them with a Javelin, or you can just avoid that side of the map.

Yeah, it's simply known as "the rock glitch" or "they're hiding in the rock." I've no clue how to do it, you'll probably find 500 videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

Thanks I You Tubed it.

It was pretty damn annoying as I just couldn't figure out where this guy was and wasted a few lives and time dealing with it.

You can blast the glitcher with an fmj attached weapon. You can't kill him with any explosives. I remember there was a glitcher on the other team and we did everything, but couldn't kill him. noob tube, semtex, harrier, even an ac-130..ridiculous. I know how to get in that stupid rock, and can't believe that activision hasn't fixed this yet.

Sounds like me. I did all of that but FMJ. I do have a FMJ class and I will bear this in mind next time I run up against this.

Thanks

By the way, Fuel is the worst map in the game.. I wish I could disable it from the rotation. Too many spots for losers to sit, camp, wait for you to walk by and press the trigger.

Well I had the game of my life the other night (not as good as you guys but amazing for me). Went 26-6 on Derail.

Not sure how I pulled that score out of my a$$ but it was amazing nonetheless. Ironically I did it mostly with regular kill shots vs. kill streaks. I got a predator x 2 (got 1 guy with each), I got a harrier x 2 (got 2 guys with each) so the other 20 kills were from me as I was unable to get to AC130.

Nice part was that both harriers came on kills from me vs the predator. Somehow both times I got caught in big firefights with 2-4 guys and managed to win them each time. Really an unusual game for me but I'll take it.

Greg

I have a great strategy on Derail that is pretty successful. I do a loadout with the M16 and Javelin, with scavenger and claymores. I sit up in the center building with a claymore at each entrance and chill. When I have the ammo, I launch javs out the windows at busy spots. The only reason this strategy works is because so few people know how to counter claymores. They just keep running into them. Most of my kills are claymores, not bullets.

I would noob tube the crap out of you through the windows.

Derail is not really one of my fav. maps at all. My best strat. for that map is to run n gun and flank. Doesn't always work, but it's better than most of the other things I try to do on that map.

I usually thermal snipe when I snipe and it's hard to see via thermal cuz the map is all white.

Noob toobing is ineffective where I sit, unless you use danger close perk and get a lucky hit.

Had a beautiful game yesterday on Scrapyard. Went 22-0 and then died in the last 10 seconds . I'm glad I didn't get to 25, because I didn't have my nuke selected and that would have pissed me off...

Played a game almost immediately after that on Afghan and went 16-0 as well. Got the game winning kill with my AC130. I wish I could play that well all the time.

Played with blowfish and a few friends from AVS for quite a while on Saturday evening, I think we won at least 15 games in a row. We were bouncing back and forth between Ground War and TDM as our numbers kept fluctuating.

I got to 496 prestige Vector kills so I had to stop using it, switched back to the MP5K (which I haven't used since my first prestige) and am having a blast with it.

Actually it was 19 straight wins from you guys were saying. Then we lost 2 in a row and then the streak started up again.

There were seriously brutal beatings being laid out by our team though. Most Domination matches were ending with the score at 200-60 or something like that. Just brutal.

Thanks for letting me join in it was fun. I had a few decent games but nothing like most of you guys (daekwan, you, pj etc). That girl on our team had me rolling on the floor laughing but man every other word was F this or B that. She still had me going with all her smack talk though.

Dude, you're always welcome to join in! Glad you made it.

Don't worry about your score and such, just have fun. One of the reasons I love playing with Daekwan is because he's so animated. Back in CoD 4 he was known as the guy who when he got an airstrike, the majority of the time he'd kill himself and get no enemy kills, it was hillarious. I still give him grief about it. He actually just broke a 1.0 kill ratio a few weeks ago, he was struggling when the game came out. PJ is one of those guys who rarely has a bad game. I played with him a while ago and within probably 7 games I bet he had 8 AC-130s, he's a machine.

As for the girl, I'd never played with her before, I suppose she's one of Daekwan's online buddies. She certainly did have a mouth on her though, but it was kinda funny. There were a few guys who joined in who I'd never seen before. Daekwan and PJ I play with all the time, I know them from the AVS boards. SID3W8Z (who now races on FM3 with us) and j4mmy (who I'd never played with before) are AVS guys, evoWRENCH is one of PJs buddies, I've played with a few times before. The rest of 'em I didn't know (at least not that I can remember).

Ehh I don't worry about the games much anymore. My goal is to at least break even each time so that my deaths are at least covered.

I did manage quite a few "saves" for teammates though and my deaths always serve a purpose as it invariably allows you guys to take out whoever got me.

I can spot with the best of them but my aim is not as good. I think that may be a lag issue on my end though (ignore the Lag Wars issues). I tend to aim exactly where the person is on my screen and about 50% of the time I hit them. I have noticed that if I try to aim a little off center I tend to hit more guys. Ground Wars is horribly laggy but I am seeing this on my end in regular TDM.

Oh and BTW they should switch ALL rooms to express. It is so much nicer not having to wait forever for the next game to start up.

IIRC the lobby timer only was alot shorter in CoD 4 (maybe 20 seconds), not sure why they bumped it up in MW2.

A have been feeling a bit meh about MW2. So recently I changed my killstreaks. Since my favorites have been maxed out on the challenges anyway.
I always thought sentry games for kills was cheesy. But I didn't realize that calling it in, getting the package, and setting it up and moving it is a pretty good challenge on it's own.
I also went to Precision Airstrikes. Funner than I thought. It's rewarding to get a bunch of kills by getting the right angle.
