Last night I decided to try some search and destroy. It ended up putting me on a team, of nothing but 10-12 year olds, all with the same clan name all arguing. Its pretty peaceful playing a few rounds with all of your team on mute.

Played a lil' more last night, I've started using the Tar-21 to unlock a few challenges. It's not so bad now, I don't like it as much as my "big 3" (M4A1, SCAR-H, ACR) but it's not bad. It has good sights and while it still has too much recoil I've found that in 3rd person games it works really well.

Oh, and amazinly 3rd person games are actually pretty fun...I just wish there was a 3rd person TDM lobby instead of only having 4 man team tactical.

Intelligence: Not telling the forum mod to stfu...

I meant to the annoying high pitched pre teens.. just stfu and play the game. Not Queezy. I'm empathizing with him...lol

Oh yah...I finally got "The Show" accolade over the weekend. Racked up 14 kills, and camped out the entire rest of the match.

This game is killing my productivity.

Unlocked the heartbeat sensor for the SCAR-H last night. Combined that with the Scramble Pro and Cold-Blooded perk and my kill to death ratio shot up into positive territory last night!

In my first trip to level 70...I tried the Tar-21, and hated it. Too much recoil. After I prestiged. I went with m4...and then Tar-21 after unlocking it. It's a great close range weapon b/c it's pretty powerfull. It's tough to shoot long range with it though.
Just unlocked the ACR again last night, and I'm back in business. Love that gun. Feels so accurate.

Yeah, I went back and re-read your post and realized that's probably what you meant and edited my post. Sorry, shouldn't have called ya out!

Wow, you musta been doing really well, yesterday you had a .75 or so ratio, you must have been going way positive!

Warning though, don't rely too heavily on the HBS, people using Ninja will not show up on it and you'll disregard your other senses if you put all your faith in it to tell you who's around you. I don't use nor have I ever used it.

What's your most memorable moment so far in MW2?

Mine is durring a domination match at Terminal. The team is down and I'm getting my ass kicked. I'm at like 3-10 k/d, and decided I'd rush the opposing team cutting through the shop and and the hall towards C. I'm met by two guys, and while shooting one, I'm downed by both and was in final stand. I kill both of them, and a third that was overlooking and guarding C. While still in final stand, I crawl to the corner, and kill about 6 more people rushing up the escalators. We capture C, I use a predator drop and harrier, and my care package was an Apache. I finish the match 31-11, and we win the game. That was awesome!!!

Overall it's got to be starting the match on the TF141 side on Quarry and firing a Javelin at the gas tanks on top only to kill 4 of them in the first few seconds of the match. I literally started laughing...

Other greats have been going 31-1 on Afghan thanks to my class "Boom Boom Pow" which currently is a SCAR-H w/M203, AT4, Frag grenade, Scavenger Pro, Danger Close, and Ninja. I got a double kill with an M203 on guys chargin the bunker then immediately got a triple kill using an AT4 on the guys behind them running in.

Another was also on Afghan at the same bunker when I aimed a Predator at a group of guys who just ran into the bunker and placed it right inside the door killing 4 of 'em.

Also, speaking of your favorite moment there was the time I was playing on Terminal and realized my entire team had gone towards the food court on the Ranger side, so I went left towards the ticket desk and there were like 4 guys, 3 of which were in the gift shop. The one right in front of me and two of the guys in the gift shop I got with my SCAR-H and then I quick swapped to my pistol (not sure why I had a pistol on that class) and killed the last guy in the gift shop.

Finally last week when playing on Wasteland I started off pretty slow and then got my predator which killed 3, called in a harrier and the bombs killed 3, then called in my Pave Low. Between the harrier and the pave low I got over 20 kills to end up 42-7 (I thought I was 40-10, buddy of mine who was in the game and on the other team corrected me the next day :awe

Oh, I wasn't talking about my overall ratio. Just my game-to-game ratio. More often than not I've been negative or even. After I unlocked the HBS my kill to death ratio shot up to 2 to 1 in games or more.

I don't want to get reliant on it but dang if it didn't help. I'm also finally getting the hang of most of the maps too for Team Deathmatch. Knowing the maps (unlike my first night) has been a huge help too.

Choosing between the Hardline and Cold-Blooded perks is tough too. Having to have one less kill to get UAV, Air Drops, etc is really nice but Cold-Blooded combined with Scrambler allows me to move around almost undetected. Which is awesome because before I felt like the opposing teams had a better idea of where I was than I did.

My most memorable moments so far have been:
1) Playing on Favela and blindly shooting a grenade launcher into a likely enemy sniper roost and getting 4 kills to complete the grenade launcher challenge.

2) Climbing up behind a guy sniping on a rooftop at Sub-base in an almost exact re-enactment of the video I posted earlier minus the text messaging.

a few days ago on Terminal. I walked up the ladder in the rear of the plane and saw the entire opposing team standing in the aisle of the plane. So I mowed them down.

Queasy I would highly recommend against scrambler. What it really does is tell an enemy that you are in his immediate vicinity. I would combine ninja with cold blooded.

I've done something similar a few times on the snow map(can't remember the name, but it has the house overlooking B in the middle). Teams would camp in there, and I'd run in with my ninja perk on, and mow them down.

Terminal's a funny map. I was blind firing from the shop into the windows of the airplane, and getting kill after kill. Even a few headshots from the random spraying... lol

You'll get better the more you play. You'll learn maps, you'll find the right weapon setup, you'll learn to aim better, etc.

Yeah, it is helpful but I know way too many people who have been killed because they kept waiting for the blip on their HBS instead of listening. It is handy but don't let it be a crutch.

As for your Perk 2 slot I've used both Hardline and Cold Blooded. Both have their uses, although honestly for all of my classes now (except my "just for fun" explosives class) I use stopping power. 40% more damage is a pretty big deal. Now, when using a sniper rifle it's not as much of an issue (IIRC with or without it it takes the same number of shots to kill a guy) but for an assault rifle or SMG it can make a big difference. Hardline is really pretty handy, and I agree that not showing up on radar or being seen by aircraft is great, but killing someone faster takes the win in my book. Almost all my classes run Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro, and Ninja Pro (when I finally pro it).

I haven't unlocked Ninja yet. I am planning on using it instead of scrambler when I do though.

A huge +1, this is probably the single worst perk in the game because it alerts the enemy when you are near.

That's one of my favorite spots to cause havoc, although I never run in there and usually I don't have ninja on (simply because on that map I like my MP5K setup which uses steady aim). It's great though because people like to hide in one of three or so spots and it's pretty easy to toss in a flash grenade and get 'em.

Yeah...it is killing my productivity as well. I don't get to play nearly as much as I'd like, but I fit in as much play time as possible. I've been keeping a steady 100+ kill differential which in turn is killing my ratio over time. I think I've been playing too hard the last 500 kills just trying to unlock things...and not just focusing on my kill ratio. I've been sticking with the SCAR and the M4A1 as much as possible. I've finished all of the SCAR-H stuff except for the Blue Tiger and Fall camo...so now I'm focusing on the M4A1 to get it to the same level. By the time I get it to the same level as the SCAR-H, I'll start playing around the the M16 and ACR to see if I like them at all.

I really like the diversity of Perks, weapons, Killstreaks, etc that this game offers...keeps it fresh for a long time. I used to use Bling Pro all the time...but have switched to Scavenger or Sleight of Hand for most setups now.

Oh, and isn't it amazing that with all the extras with this game that MW2 doesn't have a website for stat tracking? Granted, it would probably have crashed and burned if it was released alongside the game like the BF1943 site did...but still.

Once I unlock Ninja I use it on most classes but there's always room for Steady Aim on one or two of 'em.

I use Steady Aim when I'm toting around a sniper rifle. Only way to have a chance in those unexpected close-up encounters since the sniper rifle takes so long to pull up to the scope.

I have steady aim on in my my dual class. Which is dual p90+rangers. I usually use it on scrapyard and favela.

I use several setups, but my most common are:

Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro / Cold-Blooded Pro
Commando Pro (I don't care about melee range, it's for the no fall damage) / Ninja Pro

I do have a fast class setup for CTF - but that's the only time it gets any use.

My most memorable moment so far was probably in a game of Hardcore headquarters on Afghan. I entered a game late and my team was down 165-195. We were fighting to keep the other team from capturing the HQ and it was a pretty intense battle for the last HQ.

Some idiot on the other team calling in a care package right on top of the HQ (it was the HQ right where the humvee's are), I didn't know what it was but I knew I wanted it. I popped a smoke and ran up and just barely got it before being killed.

It turns out it was a chopper gunner and most of their team didn't have cold blooded. I managed to hold their entire team off the flag while my guys captured it and we won. I ended up with a score of around 51-3 after absolutely raping them.

You might as well put it on your assault rifle classes as well. Trust us when we say that using Scrambler is shooting yourself in the foot. I can't count the number of times I've killed a guy who I wouldn't have even known was there except he scrambled me...
