Did they fix the glitch for Pave Lows and Cold Blooded? The other day I went to Cold Blooded 5 in one match - where the bullets count as a single kill.

*just a note* I didn't do that intentionally - I did try to replicate it and it didn't work again, so who knows. I read on wikia that this bug pops up every now and then, but it's hard to replicate. Basically, when the Pave Low is "crashing," instead of blowing up, you can keep shooting it. I was just trying to blow it up.

Heh, I've done this before. It works with all helicopters, not just the Pave Low. Haven't tried it since the patch though.

What I want to know is if they've fixed the Sentry Gun/Pave Low killstreak bug. Neither one of those killstreaks contributes to your current streak tally unless it's the first one called in during the match.

I like the Harrier too, but it's the easiest air support to take down. Talk about a sitting duck. The regular heli isn't nearly as potent, but it seems to stay in the air longer. So, Pred > Attack Heli > Pave Low

Except the Harrier seems to deflect Stinger missiles despite not having any flares. Have you seen that happen? Sometimes you'll lock on and shoot a Stinger only for it to miss the Harrier.

The attack chopper moves around the map and lasts longer (60 seconds vs. 45 seconds), but it doesn't seem to do much damage.

And sometimes the stationary nature of the harrier is an asset. You can tell it exactly where to be and it will cover that area pretty well.

It IS very easy to shoot down, however. That being said, having the bombs drop first does make up for it a bit.

went 52-1 yesterday on wasteland TDM

Killed 5 guys, got my pred missile; that killed 3 guys. Harriers instantly killed 3 guys and my chopper gunner got like 20 kills with the harrier still getting kills. I got killed and did it all over again. I would have gotten more kills, the game ended while I was in the chopper.

I've used the stinger quite a bit since I've unlocked it, and I've always taken down harriers with no problem. Just make sure you have a clear shot and you don't accidentally hit a pole or corner of a building.

There's definitely an issue with Harriers. From time to time, the stingers simply will not be able to hit it. I ran into this recently and the harrier happened to be black, not grey like they usually are. Not sure what that means. I play on PC.

And the instant Cold Blooded Pro 'glitch' is still there. I recently prestiged and got the perk in one match by shooting a spiralling heli. I don't so much mind this one since it doesn't hurt anyone...

i usually tend to fire @ the harrier only if i'm pretty much directly below it
haven't missed yet

if it's pretty far away or at an angle it does miss often

Harriers are tough to hit, probably moreso than they should be.

I only have a problem with the stinger if the harrier is too far away. If I am pretty close to it, bang it comes down every time. Second shot always gets it though.

Man, my ratio has been skyrocketing lately... usually up .01 pct points after 2- or 3 game session. Bummed that it took me so long to get into the swing of things, because I'm easily averaging over 2:1 , with many matches close to 3:1.

Weird... I usually down Harriers within seconds of being called in, haven't missed yet I don't think. But I do usually hit them from a fairly close distance, so maybe that is it.

Yeah, once you figure it out you can really take off. I go in streaks though, I'll have a bunch of 5:1 and 6:1 games and then I'll play for 3 hours straight and barely break even most games...

Mine has been climbing as well...not by much b/c I sucked for so long, lol. I'm over 1, so I'm pretty content though.

It's weird though. There are some nights where I'm getting to a chopper gunner/ac-130 on every match, but other nights where I can't even buy a streak that will get me a predator.

I experienced the Harrier glitch on Overpass as well. Had a solid lock on with the AT4 and no joy. Used Scavenger to reload and got right under the Harrier - that did it.

I seriously run into those streaks as well. The other day I started getting all excited about my sniper skills since I was raining in 3:1 k/d matches and 25+ kills with regularity. Two nights later I am now convinced I suck at sniping and am humbly moving back to my trusty assault rifles (SCAR-H, TAR-21) again.

I've been lucky just to get a Harrier streak going lately... *sigh*

And on the topic of Harriers, anyone know what's up with the black ones? I thought they were always grey, but it seems like the black ones can't be shot down. This is sketchy at best since I'm just starting to notice it. I see the black ones in maybe one out of every 30 matches (on PC) so they're definitely rare. I have something like 3 days worth of gametime and I've only been noticing this recently, but it might have always been there...

Can anyone at least confirm that the harriers are always grey for all the factions? Maybe it's just one type that has the black ones... Definitely saw one on Wasteland but don't know which side I was playing.

I've noticed the harrier glitch many times. I use the stinger and sometimes the missile will miss it wide or go directly through it. Sometimes it will curve back around and kill it.

I have never seen any black harriers on console (i'm on PS3). Perhaps you could try asking in the PC forum thread on MW2.
