Elite has been up for me since about Saturday. I also got my 2 hours of double XP, titles, and green skull which shows founder status. I cant believe how much of a cluster the Elite launch was.

How did you end up signing up for it, Sixguns? Only thing I've been able to do was redeem the elite code that came with the Hardened Edition.

There has already been a lot of talk to patch that into the game. I think it is very important to see who is actually helping out a team. In BLOPs I played a lot of CTF. So who cared what your KD was when you were a flag runner? And, for me, I would play a lot of defense so I usually didnt have that many kills but I would always have a crap ton of flag returns. I really hope they bring that in a hurry so the focus of people might turn from KD to playing the game right when its an objective based game.

i understand what you're saying but isn't the overall score a measure of how much a person helps out a team in an objective game type? i am usually like you where i don't get a lot kills (however i do get a lot of deaths) but my total score is usually pretty high because of grabbing tags in kill confirmed or caps in hq/domination. my point is that you can tell who is helping out by noting a high difference between k/d and overall score.

Sure, but showing the caps and defends is the more direct way to get that across. Obj games should be about the obj, period. The scoreboard should reflect that.

Even in TDM, didn't the blops scoreboard show the all important k/d ratio, where mw3 doesn't?

Seems like a regression to me, plain and simple.

Make sure you also:

1) d/l the PSN elite app from the app store
2) sign up at www.callofduty.com/elite
3) link your PSN or Xbox account in your profile on the elite website
4) play 1 game of Multiplayer and wait 48 hours or so
5) items should show up

I'm stuck at 3). My profile will absolutely NOT let me link my PSN. I don't know what to do. Tried different browsers, clearing cookies, etc. Will have to give them a call later since their online chat feature isn't working either.

I had signed up first thing launch day morning through my xbox. Later when I finally got into elite, I did all the steps there. Again that was all done on launch day morning and I didnt get all my other until saturday. I did notice that it all appeared after I used elite on my xbox and than played. Not sure if that really helps since its still a huge mess.

Has anyone seen anything on the Clan set ups? They said that founders would get perks for clans and what not and I am wanting to find out how to set one up so that my friends and I can start lvling one.

You need to go through the website to start it up. It just recently started working.

I also ended up getting my bonuses piece by piece over a few days. Eventually the winter camo just randomly showed up.

The clan stuff? If so where at because I only see stuff to search for a clan, not to start one.

wait, the scoreboard showed different columnTypes in earlier versions? if so, then i agree this is a step back. i can't imagine they needed to maintain some uniformity between game types in order to make the display code easier.

They did in BLOPS. In CTF it would show overall score, Kills, deaths, flag returns and flag caps. Not sure on the other game modes since I didnt play them that much.

I think its a great idea and should bring it back.

Got my k/d up to .85 or so last night. The connection problems from the first week dug me a pretty deep hole and I don't think I'll see the 1.5+ that I had in BLOPS anytime soon.

So now that the game is playable, who's up for teaming up? Any ATOT clans set up yet? Shoot me an invite. I have another buddy who I game with regularly and we are always looking for team players.

Something I realized by happy accident yesterday....you don't need to select all three killstreaks. You can select one or two, and loop around much quicker than having to push through to 8 kills. UAV + CUAV nonstop.

that's pretty nifty, because I'm starting to think that all the assault KS's are useless except UAV and predator. The only other ones I use are air strike and attack chopper (which gets shot down very quickly now that everyone is starting to unlock the stinger)

I recommend setting up an account via elite website as well as downloading the xbox app.

But to answer your question, the xbox app should allow you to see the map layouts and stuff without you signing up for an account on the webiste. I could be wrong though.

I used 2-3 on classes, one on the mp7.

Now that I've prestiged, I'm hoping blops 2 goes back to cod points. It's really annoying to have to wait for perks and equipment.

There's like a prestige store in the barracks, that allows you to use some tokens earned from prestiging in other cod mp games. One of the things you can buy is a gun that will unlock right away after you've prestige so that you don't have to level up to a certain point to get that gun. Pretty awesome if you ask me. There's also other things to buy like custom slots, but I can't remember what else.
