Yeah, I'm getting burned out with it as well. I think I'll pick up Infamous 2 or Uncharted 3 soon to switch things up. Getting a bit burned out with FPS in general

I've only been playing when friends are online to play with, and using more challenging kits to work on grabbing all the emblems.

My interest dropped when I stopped prestiging, and I stopped doing that because I hated losing gold camos and pro perks. Maybe I should prestige again as motivation.

In the previous prestiges I worked on leveling up as fast as possible so I usually ran around with Striker Specialist Package or more recently PP90 Specialist Package for extra exp points. Now I'm just focusing on obtaining emblems, finished all support emblems, not working on the assault ones.

As long as I have goals, I don't think the game will be too boring, though it is probably due more to my mindset.

I am the same way. I like going for different titles/emblems. Its keeps me trying for more than just the next level.

What's the most difficult emblem or title you folks have gotten? "Owned" is probably the one I've spent the most time getting.

Killing the entire other team within 10 seconds I think was pretty difficult, since I play only TDM. I've been trying to get the sticky last kill for a while but haven't done it. Came very close a few times. The dropping a crate on someone as a last kill also seems to be sheer luck.

Bombs Away with the stealth bomber, I got it by chance on dome. We had the other team spawning on A and ended up killing all 6 of them and two of the sorry bastards died twice.

Got the new maps last night but then my brother asked if I wanted to play Special Ops, which I hadn't tried before so ended up mostly playing that.

I played the two new maps at least once though and they're freaking huge. Which of course means they're probably not going to be in the FFA rotation like some of the other maps, and for me that really sucks.

I keep forgetting about Spec Ops. I had a lot of fun with them in MW2 but have only done the survival ones so far in MW3.

I hate the range on them. They should be close quarter combat only. There have been plenty of times where I get shot from a very good distance and I was getting hit markers with my AR. I hate the shotguns!

And yet, there have been plenty of times when you only get hitmarkers with a close-range hit. It's like the shotguns are designed to kill somewhere between "close range" and "medium range." Very strange.

I tend to look at my accuracy, and think.. man I have some poor gun skills (about 15%), but I win a lot of gun fights, so spray n pray is a skill right?

If you're using an assault rifle, accuracy isn't going to matter as much as it does with a MK14 or sniper rifle. If you're not accurate with those guns you'll get beat badly by the PP90s and strikers. I have about 21% accuracy. About 35% of my total playing time I've played with the MK14. About 60% has been a mix of Type95, ACR 6.8, and PP90. The remaining 5% has been with an assortment of numerous guns to complete challenges or test out.

The shotguns feel like they suck the few times I've used them, whereas some of the people I see using them on my friends list kick ass.

Found out last night while trying to collect emblems, apparently you won't receive an emblem if the challenge isn't unlocked. I prestiged and was able to end the game with a throwing knife kill, but didn't get the emblem since the 'Finishing Move' challenges aren't unlocked till lvl 50. Sucks. :|

Yah, that is the worst thing about prestiging. You have to unlock crap before you can do the challenge. Thing is, most things you do happen randomly. If you try and try and try and try again to try to get that final knife kill... it just isn't gonna happen. If you just play the game, eventually something out of the ordinary happens and it's cool to unlock something for it. However, you were penalized for having prestiged .. BS

I think I got that challenge plus a few others playing that new infected game type. In that game type, if you are infected, you get a throwing knife and there's more opportunity to get that last knife kill.

I even got a payback with knife kill challenge.

I actually got the stickman emblem before I prestiged and was trying for it for weeks. Finally found a sniper camping behind the radar dish on Dome, waited until a few seconds after the score hit 7300 while I stood over his back, then stuck his back. Luckily I timed it right so someone on my team killed someone for 7400 and then sticky went off right after.

I dont understand why all of the challenges arent unlocked right away? For people that prestige right away, some of those are really hard to get because they take a lot of time completing.

Cause prestige mode is a poorly thought out relic of the days when they thought very few people would go for it. Its the number one thing I hope blops 2 deals with.

I always prestige as soon as I can. Its always been a goal to hit the top prestige but always fall short because I end up losing interest in the game come late summer. However, I am on a good pace with this game at a prestige a month. I know its not that fast but its working for me.
