I always prestige as soon as I can. Its always been a goal to hit the top prestige but always fall short because I end up losing interest in the game come late summer. However, I am on a good pace with this game at a prestige a month. I know its not that fast but its working for me.

Yeah, since I never played MW3 on Console, I was so terrible when I started playing on xbox... now I can't reset my stats till prestige 15
Do you really want to though? Stats like KDR/Accuracy don't really reflect your skill level.
Man, I remember getting pwned pretty badly when I first played MW1 online on the xbox. My kd on that was like .5 or something.
I think that is done on the Elite website. I don't have access to the site right now since I am at work but I am pretty sure it does.
They do have a Win ratio and K/D ratio. They don't have anything like a overall skill stat.
Score per minute is about as close as it comes. That's not a very accurate by any means.

The win ratio is also completely and utterly useless because it includes games that you get dropped in halfway through.

Yeah they are pretty useless stats when you look at them. Win/Loss Ratio doesn't mean jack because you can gather up a bunch of your friends and pub stomp.
Haha, one of my friends does exactly this. His win/loss ratio is well over 3 because he consistently plays with at least 3 or 4 other guys and they rape public servers. Also, I think he has a 50 or 60 match win streak if I remember correctly.
With the release of the infected map, the w/l ratio is really useless now.
If you play the infected map, you are 99.999% guaranteed to win. No one ever survives uninfected so everyone gets a win at the end. It's so easy to pad your wins this way.

I played once, and got to 21 kills in a row. It was akimbo fmg9's. I was last one to survive, I was dipping and dodging like a boss. Ran out of ammo and had to get a scavenger pack, they finally got me.. darn. Lots of fun though. I felt like I was playing Nazi zombies for a minute.. haha
