Don't write the Heat off just yet, Shaq will come back with a 25 and 15 night in Miami, you'll see. One thing I didn't know earlier was that Shaq and Damp have had bad blood that runs way back... that was the XFactor in Game 2. Apparently Shaq said something about Damp coming from the WNBA or some sht... rofl!

What about Shaq's "monster game" he claimed in Game 2? Yea, monster in terms of low. No one predicts the Mavs to sweep, so the Heat will probably win a game or two somewhere, but the championship has belonged to the winner of the Western Conference ever since the season ended. Period. And that just happens to be the Mavericks.

I don't think the Heat have any chance to win the series. They might win some games in Miami but with the 2-3-2 format, Mavs will win the series.

Yeah, I agree the West is definitely the better conference and has had stronger SoS's. Shaq will be back for a couple wins, don't piss the Diesel off!

Tonights game promises to be a great one, I'm expecting an all out war. It's an absolute must win for the Heat and I expect them to come out fighting for their lives, and the Mavs smell blood in the water and know if they can get this one they will crush Miami's will to continue and pretty much assure them the Championship. It should be entertaining to say the least

I don't really get the scheduling. They say they are afraid of a 2-2-1-1-1 because of travel, but then they only give one day layoff to travel to miami.

When Damp was in his contract year with GSW his agent and he were talking about him being one of the 3 best centers in the league. Shaq clowned him a bunch of times on national TV right after that. IMO they have had bad blood going back a long time because Damp is one of the few guys in the league that Shaq actually had to battle with. There aren't many true 7' guys who have 275 lbs that are semi athletic. Dampier is not a superstar because of the blocks of granite growing from his wrists, but he has a lot going for him in other areas.

As I said before, they have always played each other tough, and Shaq took exception to being compared to him. He said something like "did he say WNBA?" or something like that. I read/heard Dampier was pretty ticked at being disrespected by Shaq when he was trying to get paid a nice contract. One of the few classless and out of line remarks Shaq has made in his career. Too my knowledge there was nothing in the media between them before that. I can understand the bad blood by Dampier.

I agree, and the east coast/west coast excuse doesn't make sense either? What are we talking here, maybe a 1-2hr difference in flight times? And to me the 2-3-2 format isn't fair to the team that has earned home field advantage. For example if the Home team closes out in 5, they end up with less home games and revenue in the finals. If they feel they must reduce the travel time, why not 3-3-1

Yeah I think Shaq made a big mistake by making the statements that he did. Calling him Erica and saying he would be a dominate player in the WNBA. All it has done is motivate Damp to play his best against Shag, which he has done consistently ever since the comments where made. Damp always seems to bring his A game against Shaq. And to me, you only bag on somebody like that if your somewhat in fear of that person. If Shaq really felt like he could dominate him he would say "Yeah, the guys a great player" then go out and pummel him on the court.

Shaq does that to everyone. Except ben wallace, I guess. I remember mutombo being miffed too.

Ethan J. Skolnick of the PIONEER PRESS writes, "He has called Erick Dampier 'soft' more than once. He has compared his own poor playoff performances to the Dallas center's customary production. He has suggested Dampier could be dominant ? in the WNBA. He has punctuated enough insults with a particular request ('write it down, take a picture, send it to him') that Dampier must have a full mailbox."

ROFL! Now we see why Dampier raises his game when he plays the Diesel. I'd be pissed too!

Because the game has changed, and he hasn't. He had the same problem with miami quite a while back when charlotte trounced miami in the playoffs.

If the problem isn't coaching, then it is players not listening to the coach, which may ultimately still be a "coaching" problem.

Lets see.. Takes over for Van Gundy when the team is floundering and leads the team to a better record and a birth in the Finals. Yeah, coaching is a problem

Miami is playing their best game of the series so far...and it's a one point game.

Dallas has 7 or 8 turnovers right now and they are still in the game. That has to be demoralizing for Miami.

hehe, taking a 9 point lead into the half is hardly demoralizing.

Whoops! Despite a couple of bad calls against them the Mavs they drop a quick 10 and take the lead, just a heartbeat gone in the third and the Heat forced into two timeouts already.

Not looking good for the Heat. Dallas shoots less than 40%, commits 11 turnovers and get out rebounded 31 to 16 and still lead

If they don't win tonight, definately a sweep.
And Dallas just went up again.

I was expecting an easy win for the Heat tonight being their first home game and such.
Miami been dominating all game and now Dallas is leading by 9 heading into the 4th.

Just to show you the Heat is definately a 2 man team.
The rest of the team have stunk it up(Haslem been OK).
