LOL, people are right, wade tripped terry and shaq pushed damp, but wade's 4th foul he didn't even touch Dirk. So calls were missed, but its nothing out of the ordinary. The superstars got the calls or no calls (shaq and dirk) and wade went off and won the game for the heat. Great game, I am a mavs fan and I thought the heat would win by 5-10 this game. I didn't think it would be that close. Avery again proves how great he is going to be in this league with the adjustments. If there was a long break (half time length) between each quater the mavs would never lose, Avery is incredible.

miami is still in trouble, imo. they need to build off of this win and reel off two in a row. the only team that has won the three middle games of the Finals was the 04 Pistons (obligatory Pistons-plug )

Hey at least I can admit when the Heat play like crap and admit that in all likelyhood they will lose this series.

However, I've watched sports long enough to know that "luck" is part of the game. Chuckywang should also know that if Dirk goes uncontested to the basket against Ginobli and doesn't get fouled, he wouldn't even be posting in this thread. So its pretty dumb to say a team got lucky, any sports fan knows that luck is part of the game.

Nice game by Miami. They pounded the ball inside (like I said) and outrebounded the Mavs, winning with the power game. Wade was setup nicely and had some open looks/drives. If Miami continues the inside outside game, they have a decent chance at making this respectable. Miami has broken Dallas 14 game playoff streak of outrebounding their opponents and have won the rebounding battle in 2 of 3 games.

The Mavs are a young team, this is their first finals ever. You know they gave away the game last night, but this is a learning experience and it will not happen again in the series. Mavs need to answer back with a win in game 4 to show they are the dominant team, if indeed they are.

I won't comment on the officiating, because it has been pretty good unlike the early rounds of the playoffs. There was a blown call where Shaq pushed Damp, but Dallas will get a call in its favor before the series is over.

Nice win by Miami, but they are still sunk. It took a great effort on their part just to win by two. Even if they manage to sweep in Miami, they still have to win one in Dallas, which I don't think they can do. But I honestly don't think they can sweep in Miami, I'm just not convinced they can beat the Mavs three straight games. If the Mavs just take one in Miami then Miami has to win both in Dallas... virtually impossible, IMO.

Shaq pushed damp, well ok. What about the ref calling a foul on wade who stood still for several seconds then someone ran right into him? That was a bit ridiculous.

Gary Payton finally made a shot. I can't decide if that's good or bad. It could be bad because it might make him think he should be taking more shots, which would mean a lot of bricks. I might have to change my mind about antoine walker IF he stops jacking up outrageous 3s (he did that at least 3 times in the game last night) and drives to the basket more. Also, if he stops missing easy layups on fast breaks, that would be good.

I really don't see the heat being able to win another game if haslem, walker, and payton continue to choke on open shots. It is getting ridiculous. I can count on one hand the number of times they have made them. Thank god payton didn't miss that one at the end, or it would have been bloody murder in the locker room.

I wouldn't say it was a lucky win. Ginobili's foul was just boneheaded, not lucky. Mavs made plenty of boneheaded plays in the 4th quarter to lose it.

boneheaded for Ginobli and the Spurs....but lucky for the Mavs.

But..it doesn't matter now...the Mavs made it the finals and played damn well against excellent teams in the west...

I still think the Mavs will win it..they just look superior in all aspects but one - Wade. Wade has to play like last night every game from now on for the Heat to have a chance and I just don't see that happening. It's awesome to watch Wade play though..he's definitely one of those special players. Lebron is awesome but Wade is funner to watch.

Miami definitely looked like a whole new team in Game 3. Now I'm a little more worried that this series could go to 6, maybe even 7. I'm confident that Mavs will win the series for sure, but it's gonna be close. Tonight's game will prove whether Heat are really in it to win or if Mavs will dominate them 4-1.

Yeah, Payton did actually travel before the shot, but they never call that in the nba anymore. Basically, Dallas choked. They had the game and let Miami back in it. Not sure how many open shots they missed, but they sure didn't make many in the last 5 minutes. Dirk clanking the FT was nice too.

From what i saw, the Heat got a small edge in the officiating, but not a game changing amount. The Mavs should have played better in the 4th Q.

I will admit that I'm close to making a tin foil hat every year in the NBA playoffs. Everytime a team gets down 2-0 in the finals they seem to get every borderline call in game 3. I wouldn't put it past Stern to make "suggestions" to the refs. The fact that Wade somehow coudn't foul out of the game even though he wasn't very careful always makes me wonder. Conspiracy theories will always thrive in the NBA when it is obvious to everyone that certain players get calls that other players don't. Especially when players, coaches and officials admit it. I have been courtside and heard refs tell rookies "you haven't earned that call yet".
