You're obviously an Avs fan based on your reading comprehension.
Oops
Its my dyslexia
Seriously though, I can't wait to see the Wings make their first round exit. The first of many to come.

Weber should sit for the remainder of the 1st round
My personal opinion, after cooling down, trying to be as unbiased as possible, is that he deserves two games. I will be mighty pissed if he gets nothing.
Not to mention the haymaker Bertuzzi threw at Gaustad after the face off. Total madness was going on there at the end on both sides. Still, it has become popular in the media to focus on the Weber action so I wouldn't be shocked if he's out a game.

Didn't see the game, so I couldn't tell you. If it was worse than Weber's, I imagine more people would be talking about it.
NEW YORK -- Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for delivering a blow to the head of Detroit forward Henrik Zetterberg in Game 1 of the teams' Western Conference Quarterfinal series in Nashville on Wednesday, April 11, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 20:00 of the third period. Weber was assessed a minor penalty for roughing.
"We felt this was a reckless and reactionary play on which Weber threw a glancing punch and then shoved Zetterberg's head into the glass," said NHL Senior Vice President of Player Safety and Hockey Operations Brendan Shanahan. "We reached out to Detroit following the game and were informed that Zetterberg did not suffer an apparent injury and should be in the lineup for Game 2.
"This play and the fine that addressed it will be significant factors in assessing any incidents involving Shea Weber throughout the remainder of the playoffs."
The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
I guess in general I'm not a believer in "there needs to be damage for someone to be penalized." Weber had clear intent to injure and especially since he targeted head I think it's worthy of a suspension. But that's the point, Weber's wasn't even bad (in terms of actual damage). It was more fantastic than anything else. Like I said earlier, it's truly hilarious in a way which is probably why it's getting so much attention.
Let's be real here, someone grabbing another guy by the back of the head and trying to push him into the glass is going to be done with much less force than someone skating at full speed and launching into them. What Weber did just looks worse because it looks like he's turned the corner into a turnbuckle. I'll admit I laughed.

If Bertuzzi did something similar, then he should be suspended too. But again, I didn't see the game and I haven't seen a replay of that.
Have you seen Weber? If he had intent to injure then Zetterberg would be out for the rest of the playoffs.

Yes, slamming a head against a relatively hard object has absolutely no chance to cause any injury.I don't see any intent to injure, I see intent to inflict pain. Shoving his head like that is not likely to cause an injury.

I don't think it was likely to cause an injury, but I'm not sure what else Weber would be trying to do there.

Now I just hope Bertuzzi doesn't have a flashback and decide to try to break someone's neck.
