I'm torn. Do I hope the Wings win quickly and soundly or do I wish for a long series so that when I'm in San Jose May 9-14 I might be able to find a bar to go to and root for the wings....

There's always room in the Sharks' bandwagon.

To join is simple!
first: Post about their past failures. 09 Anaheim Series is a hot one right now.
second : Predict the opposing team will win in 6.
third : Make fun of Joe Thornton (and/or Marleau)
Fourth : Post pictures of golf related activities. Bonus points for putting sharks related things in it.
and Lastly : Gloat when the sharks flame out.

There's no bandwagon that cheers for the sharks anymore, that one fell apart in 08, then burned to pieces in 09.

Unless you're talking present day payroll where Detroit spends the same as about 20 other teams. Even before the cap Detroit only won 3 Cups between 1955-2005. /facepalm

That's the only thing giving me hope. Wings are not playing good hockey consistantly enough to win the cup. Almost wish they had been knocked out by Phoenix so they could rest up for a run next year.

Detroit is the New England Patriots and the NY Yankees of Hockey. Because everywhere you go there are idiots that love the team simply because of how good they are right now.

their scouting and development of young talent is amazing... i know what you're saying but that club is flippin awesome at finding and developing young blue chip prospects... turns out they don't need a huge payroll to ice an amazing squad... seriously, just look at their draft picks in the last 10 years and how some of them panned out... it is nothing short of brilliant what they have done...

i'm not even a Wings fan... but you gotta tip your cap to that. they OWN the league when it comes to creating superstars out of what everyone else would consider slugs.

i was there OLE'ing right along with everyone last month... the atmosphere is contagious... what a place to see a game. AMAZING, nothing short of AMAZING.

the hot dogs were crappy though. lol

and now... just by visiting the Centre Bell.... i am 95% Oilers fan and 5% Habs ()
