Hey, the Windsor Spitfires came back from a 3-0 series hole against Kitchener and won in 7 games... and then swept Barrie 4-0 to win their 2nd straight OHL title.. anything can happen.
I can't wait for game 5 this weekend. Win or lose I will happy with the Wings performance this season considering .... No one thought they would be here back in January, and it's been fun especial after a total destruction to the sharks last night at the Joe.
Now if they win one in San Jose, I think we got a series again... I am sure the sharks don't want to come back to an erupted Joe arena.
I have to believe yesterday's loss will play in the sharks heads a little, their coach showed no confidence in his team after last nights loss...
I think the wings chances of a game 7 is very slim to none, but one game at a time ... keep tha Mule on fire. Go Wings.
Hawks can release him for only 1.6 million a year I believe. No one wants to eat that, but it better then hurting your cap with his pay.
The Caps may want to take Huet back (even after he stiffed them for Chi-town)... we need a #1 proven goalie (though I haven't seen him play this year)... who else is a UFA this offseason?
At this point it looks like Game 5 is a must-win, which I know make me sound like one of those retarded cliche fans when my team is up 3-1. But I think if the Wings win 5, they could well force 7.
Historically the Joe is not a great place for the Sharks to play and I'd bet game 6 would be some sort of average of 3 and 4 that has the wings coming out slightly ahead.
It's amazing how even these teams are when they're both playing poorly, and when they're both playing well. But when one team is playing great and the other is flat - man the difference is even more amazing.
Before the games in Detroit : I would have been happy with a 1-1 split coming out of Detroit. Though such a massive loss is somewhat disheartening. Hopefully we make a stand on home ice and close out the series. I think the last time we went up 3-0 was against Colorado in like 03 or something and that series went to 6.
We'll see in game 5, I still think the Sharks are too good of a team to be down 3-0 to... well 3-1 now. It would be a miracle if this goes to game 7...not to mentioned considering how inconsistent the Red Wings have, they can win tomorrow and lose at home ...lol
Enjoy the games!! and good luck.
Lets not forget that games 1-3 were all EXTREMELY close games. This series could easily be 3-1 the other way. Or at the very least 2-2 with a couple of bounces gone the other way.
I don't think your problem is goaltending. I think you need to ditch green, and actually get some decent defensemen.
The Caps may want to take Huet back (even after he stiffed them for Chi-town)... we need a #1 proven goalie (though I haven't seen him play this year)... who else is a UFA this offseason?
The wings have not actually lost a game yet, for as much as their play has been sub par, the refs can be directly credited with costing the wings at least 2 goals in all 3 games the wings have lost by 1 goal.
The wings still did beat them as badly as the score showed, we just got a few good bounces for once (I think it was 5 goals for 13 shots at one point). The refs still tried to pile on, and Thorton showed how classy he really is. If he was a wing I guarantee he'd be suspended, since he's not I doubt there will be any consequences.
Do I feel good about the chances to win, hell no, Last year at least you only had to factor the refs screwing your team out of a game or two to try to get more tickets sold, this year they've given up on being suttle about trying to dictate not just the tempo of the game, but who is going to win.
wow the old man Recchi ties it with 30secs left.
Green men are back in vancity. Im off for that game.
