The Sharks were not outplayed. All three games were close and played hard. If anything, they just do not have the same level of goaltending for them that the Hawks are getting. When it comes time to make the key save, it is not happening for them.

At least this is not a choke like in the past.

Yeah, the little I saw of last nights game looked like the sharks were the dominate team. But as we saw with montreal in round 1 and round 2 , all that counts is the final score.

This game wasn't about Montreal, it was about Philly coming out and dominating every phase of the game. They limited their own mistakes and limited Montreal's shots.

Also, it was very classy of Montreal to put sand outside of the Flyers' locker room. Players were going off constantly for skate issues. At one point, Richards, Timonen, and Hartnell were all in the locker room at the same time. I'm glad that backfired.

I hadn't heard of the sand on the skates of Flyers, if true then that's pretty low. Hopefully Philly can close em out in Game 5, no need to go back to Montreal and give them the momentum.

Not sure if you guys saw the new HBO documentary on the Broad Street Bullies of 1974-1975 champs but any hockey fan needs to watch this.

Basically gives you a good idea of the state of hockey after the expansion of the original 6, how the rules changed because of the Bullies, how the Bullies are probably Philly's most beloved sports team, and how they once defended this country's honor in hockey vs the Russians (kicked the sht of them!). Very well done documentary and even some of my relatives who don't watch hockey loved it.

Apparently the mats where outside and were soaking wet. Some maintenance dudes threw sand on them because they couldn't dry fast enough.
